In our case we used it in a range of varying scenarios across internal functions as well as for external clients. It is fairly well featured and suited for use across multiple use cases. Albeit we ended up not using the pay features because it was an occasional requirement for us, I think one of the areas where it would be well suited would be processes requiring online payments based on variable logic. The pricing structure ironically makes it less suited for the same scenario for users with limited requirements.

Satmetrix

Satmetrix is best suited if you don't currently use Salesforce. A lot of its main selling points are negated by the virtue of having Salesforce. Case management is in Salesforce, reporting is in Salesforce, the structure that NPX imposes is actually clunky and unwieldy, and is much more streamlined on competing platforms such as GetFeedback and SurveyMonkey. The only thing that leaves is the consultative service on being best practice and I don't really get to see any of that.

Pros

  • We could build html forms with little or no html experience. This is empowering.
  • We were notified right away when someone completed a form. This was helpful with scheduling workshops, among other things.
  • The reporting feature was great, as it was easy for administrators to see results at a glance.
  • Provides out of the box analytic charts, graphs, and data.
  • Is flexible in the number of surveys you can send.
  • Has a "survey builder" which makes creating surveys and survey logic easy.

Cons

  • One-off payment integration requires a higher subscription
  • Storage is not commensurate with pricing
  • Not exactly a strong negative, but could work on pricing it better for non-US markets
  • I would like to have seen Satmetrix help us with ways to receive more responses to our surveys.
  • Costs were extremely high for our custom engagement with them.

Costs would play a big role in a potential renewal. Additionally, with the experience gained from the original project and education, I would feel comfortable running a program with a less costly vendor.

I installed 123ContactForm myself and while I had some issues installing it I was able to visit their website and the troubleshooting information they provided in their faq section. They did offer other support if a user needed additional support, but I found the information provided on their website to be more than sufficient

Alternatives Considered

Looked at Zoho Forms, Google Forms, Form Assembly and a couple of others. In general there is a variety of features and it would not be wise to negatively rate any of the others. But purely from a price-feature mix, we chose to use 123ContactForm over the others and in that context it was ideal for us.
Medallia - Satmetrix does not compare. Where Satmetrix succeeded in elevating our multiple regional disjointed VOC into a single globally consistent program, Medallia further elevated it by facilitating a cultural change. Medallia's expertise and its platform's simplicity increased user adoption exponentially. Now 70K users actively report on VOC in a usable "do it yourself" model.

Return on Investment

  • It helped with supplier/client information leakage. Occasionally during fast on-boarding information gets left out which later may create issues during filing (or in unfortunate cases of dispute).
  • Payment requests by suppliers & remittance info from clients was easily logged ensuring easy information flow.
  • Improved cost basis for information gathering for clients
  • Time to get surveys created and deployed has increased.
  • Complexity of integration has increased
  • Quality of data has decreased with integration failures
