Adobe Sign

When working often with contracts and the need to keep track of a lot of different clients, Adobe Sign is really helpful. Early in my business when I didn't have a large number of clients and I did most everything in person, it would have been a more unnecessary luxury for me. Now that I do a lot of work online and my clients are reaching farther and farther and more regularly hire me from over an hour drive away and sometimes out of state, I've found it extremely helpful when I can't meet in person. I've even moved to doing all contracts through Adobe Sign, even if we are meeting in person

Pros

  • Very easy to use. It has a simplistic interface which means the learn time is straightforward.
  • Easy for a user to set-up and for the signer to sign.
  • Takes most any document type.
  • Integration was straightforward. We have integrated with Salesforce.com and BigMachines.

Cons

  • The auto-field detection is not perfect, and it sometimes takes longer to fix the guesses made by the system versus doing it manually from scratch.
  • If I make an error when preparing a document for signature and want to go back, it's quite difficult in the current interface.
  • It would be handy to have a final confirmation screen that lists the name of the parties to whom a document is being sent for signature, the name of the document, and the order of signing. This would help me be 100% sure that I am sending the right document to the right people. (We all make mistakes!)

  • Perhaps they do not have a very convenient editor interface. I often can not find what I need.

Don't fix what isn't broken. Echosign works fantastic for the organization therefore continued use is obvious and key to keeping everything running smoothly.

The best types of training are well integrated into the product and Echosign does this well. As mentioned earlier in my review - there are some areas of functionality that can be difficult to understand ("only I sign") for the novice user.Other areas such as macro usage, bulk signature and so on were easily learned and understood via the online tools.

Implementation

Our IT team implemented and the implementation was fine. The only lesson learned is that the integration with Salesforce.com is great, but if you use the product for something other than sales orders (e.g. timesheets, client correspondence etc.), you need to plan with that in mind. They have a very good web based interface for that

Alternatives Considered

The price is much more managable for eSign, we can find all of the old things we sent out, we can see the history of a document; so if a client says they never saw the proposal it is easy for anyone here to go in and either confirm or deny the claims of a client ans we also have the ability to prove to them someone on their email account saw the email.

PDFfiller gives me convenience in many ways. It allows me to edit my documents hassle-free. And it also help me to convert those pdf documents into other office formats whenever I require. It also has advantage to source my documents from a URL. With this feature I can source my clients documents from their websites.
