AVI-SPL is a digital workplace services provider that works with organizations globally to improve team collaboration through video and audio technology.
AVI SPL was selected for this project based on its competitive pricing. They were also chosen based on the timeliness of their proposal since our project was under a very specific deadline that we were given by our project leadership. They met the deadline and executed the …
Since they have been cost competitive, that is the only reason i have stayed with AVI-SPL. Outside of that i would move to another competitor if i could.
We don't have an exact match for similar services. We have used other companies for low voltage work when needed. It's generally been more cost effective to do so.
AVI-SPL has provided Cisco Room systems for our conference rooms. They are an integrator for use, not the actual product. WE have decided to move solely to Cisco Room systems as it gives the best overall options, and BYOD is not needed, but it is supported if the need arises.
AVI truly has the best pricing when it comes to a simple box sale. There is no match in this arena. However, we have other local AV companies who can provide better support when it comes to onsite installations. There certainly is room for improvement on the Project Management …
We have originally selected the end video and touchscreen solution by which we have moved back to integration partner like AVI-SPL and few other audio video integration solution partners and finally proceeded with AVI-SPL for our solution. They are preferred and top vendor from …
I have use plenty of other A/V companies in the past. They all have they pros and cons. AVI-SPL has consistently proven they can get the job done on time, within budget, and the type of quality I need and expect. AVI-SPL's service department has been able to keep our rooms …
We went from installing our own rooms with Monitors and computers to using AVI-SPL to install the Teams rooms. We have not used or evaluated another vendor for this.
AVI-SPL can be a bit higher, but they are able to help with more technical support in building solutions better than others. They are slightly more expensive, but it can be worth it in the long run.
AVISPL blows their competitors away with their fast turn arounds and customer service. John Debick is a true asset to AVISPL and has gained 10+ years of my business because of his knowledge and responsiveness. I can't thank him enough for helping my business grow.
We really do not use any other product. We have been very happy with AVI-SPL, so we do not feel we need to use any other product. AVI-SPL has all the resources we need, it easy to use, affordable and it is always easy to get a hold of someone if we have questions.

AVI-SPL helped us replace our dated poly systems with simpler, more flexible ones
I have used other AV vendors and AVI has usually always been a pleasure to work with. Some of the other vendors I have used in the past have actually now been acquired by AVI-SPL (Whitlock and SKC Communications)
AVI-SPL distinguished themselves by not only providing a proposal, but they analyzed what we needed and provided some alternatives based on budget and product availability. Knowing what equipment would and would not be available in our timeline was very helpful.
AVI-SPL is well suited for projects where comprehensive audio visual solutions are needed. They have engineering and design expertise to ensure the right solution is provided. Their attention to detail is very good. AVI-SPL may be less appropriate to hire when the scope of the project is loosely defined and/or expected to undergo changes during the course of the project.
Install times are generally booked out a bit. I know that there is a balance between demand and onhand resources.
Pricing. They are by far one of the most expensive. I constantly need to look for ways to trim back costs because there is quite a lot baked into the quote in terms of maintenance and it feels like a cash grab in the end. I've gotten quotes elsewhere due to some of the numbers I've received and they all have come well under AVI-SPL's. Here's the list of line items from what I've seen from my last quote and this is from one conference room. Equipment Total, Installation Materials, Professional Services, Direct Costs, General and Administrative, Room Support and Maintenance, Device Maintenance. This feels egregious.
They are a great company to work with overall, but there is always room for improvement. We have had incredibly positive experiences with our main sales rep for any and all purchases. The installation team in southwest VA is lacking and lead to quite a lot of issues on a large scale project last year.
They had us replace the PC three times stating that the PSU was not strong enough to power the USB bus. The last PC had a 1500w PSU. The USB devices kept not working because they had too many USB devices connected. We had to hire another company to come out and fix this mistake as well. They redesigned the solution to get the features that we requested from the beginning and something that would work correctly
ABSOLUTELY! I have contacted them multiple times. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and know who to make the return calls to make service as efficient as possible. They will listen to the issue, document it, and provide the most knowledgeable technician to assist. I utilize their remote support often as I am versed in A/V technology and can work with technicians without them having to come to our site. I love having that option.
Given a caveat that this project had major changes to overcome, I would say AVI-SPL did about as well as any large installer out there could do under the circumstances.
We've gone through a few AV partners since developing our AV program. We started with a small local shop, but they didn't have the expertise as we scaled. We moved to a larger local shop, but they struggled to provide support and I don't believe their designs were optimal. Our third go-round with a national firm seemed fine at first, but eventually they too were unable to provide the level of support we needed. So far, AVI-SPL has been getting us taken care of.
