Ventiv Claims Administration software is designed to handle claims with speed and precision.
ChiroTouch has helped us maintain more accurate records, notes, billing, and the text reminders help to ensure the patients remember their appointment which keeps our numbers good.
Ventiv Claims works beautifully for workers' compensation. It is easy to use for both field employees and Risk Management. The claim nearly creates itself by allowing the digital "Injury Reporting Form" the employee fills out when they report an injury to populate the claim itself. I have the employee's own description of the incident, which helps determine compensability. In addition, the support we receive from the Ventiv Claims team is second to none. We have a dedicated account manager who ensures our success and is always willing to step in and help whenever we have a question or want something to perform differently.
The Ventiv team is always ready to assist in solving complex issues in a very timely manner.
The entire Ventiv staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help via phone, email, web ex. Our Customer Success Manager, Doug H. is the best! And Cindy H., Machella G., Josette D., Duane J. ...just to name a few.
Love the fact that aspects of our daily tasks are streamlined and can be completed in one central location from claims management, to reporting, policy renewals, and payment processing.
There is quite a bit to learn, even if you have experience with other EHR systems like I did, and required our staff and providers time and patience to get accustomed to it. It may be helpful for the Chirotouch team to develop a curriculum of sorts to navigate practices through learning the system in a logical way.
The EHR system is higher in price than other comparable systems, especially with all the add-ons - it would be nice if Chirotouch were a little more transparent about what you get when purchasing the item off the shelf, and, more importantly, what features are not included without a package upgrade.
The graphic layout and color scheme isn't as "pretty" as other EHR systems I've worked with, and actually looks quite outdated. It might be worthwhile for Chirotouch to work with graphic designers to make the interface a little more aesthetically pleasing.
We have been using Ventiv Claims for over ten years, and there is a wealth of information in the system. We have not seen any other system that compares to the Ventiv Claims environment.
It is fine once it is up and running, but the customization takes a long time, does not have some things setup in advance that seem very straight forward, and for most people the learning curve is very high for learning the system even once it is properly setup and customized. However, it is "fine" not particularly impressive. Additionally, their customer support and training is substandard.
Overall, the system is easy to use. Some fields are redundant within the system, which makes it a little confusing, but once you choose which to use, you can easily hide the other field from users so they do not enter information in the other field.
Sometimes we get weird error messages. We have been having a problem with our check-in computer and ChiroTouch hasn't been able to figure out the problem
Generally we never have problems with speed. If we have, it's been because we needed to perform software updates, and then it went back to working quickly.
Overall the support is really good. There are only a few instances where the support could not figure out how to resolve issues we have encountered quickly.
The particular person we were assigned was not very well versed in the software. Several things we asked about we were told we not possible, and then I later figure out how to do them by myself after getting to know the software. I guess that is what comes from trainers who use the system in theory but not in an actual office. They are basically reading off a script that guides you how to set things up, nothing more. If she didn't know the answer, she didn't research it, she just told us it wasn't possible. However, it was a multi-session training spread out over a couple weeks and they did walk you through all the basics. It does take a lot of customization, so this was appreciated. It would have been very intimidating to do without guided support sessions.
During any training provided by Ventiv, the sessions are always two ways. It is not just a lecture that you sit through, they are generally question and answer type sessions that are very good at getting the point across. By keeping the sessions small and manageable, Ventiv can provide the training necessary so that all of the users feel comfortable.
Our implementation specialist was exceptional! She went above and beyond in helping us get everything set up the way we wanted it and provided the necessary training to myself, who is the administrator of CE. There was a key piece that was missed by Ventiv during our negotiations before implementation that required us to go back and ended up costing us more money for our incident intake form.
We had been using medisoft before and it wasn't organized enough or clear enough for insurance billing, coding and doctors notes. Chirotouch solved all of these problems with the additional bonus of being customizable
I have not met with any other RMIS vendors in a very long time. They reach out all the time; however there's no sense in wasting anyone's time. I am happy with Ventiv, there are times I may get upset because there is no response when I ask for something. But I chalk it up to my issue is not top priority.
It's reliable, though occasionally has connectivity issues. Their support says it's our computing issue, not the software, but we don't have similar problems with other software. Definitely needs to be backed up daily. We use ChiroTouch's backup and it works well
We pay about $100K per year in support/update fees it has been very difficult to justify these fees as we don't use support much and many of the updates simply brought the product to an approximate level to what we thought we were purchasing in the first place.
Self-hosting and owning the software rather than SaaS is an incredible value.
