Cisco business edition are well suited for the environment where we need regular communication as they are easy to dial and has got great features. The product is well suited for both small business and large enterprises. Speed dial, good voice quality are key features of Cisco phones. They are not well suited in scenarios where we do not have LAN connectivity or internet. Sometimes we may face latency and jitteriness which is not good.

Miro
Miro is the tool when you need to collaborate with anyone and stay on the same page. It is extremely useful for distributed teams to stay on the same page. It's fantastic for workshops, even with participants who are not familiar with it - it's generally easier to learn than most of the other tools, at least with the basics. It can be great for low-fidelity design with a cross-functional team before a designer moves into their tool of choice for high-fidelity work. Miro is not the tool for table data that may need to be sorted or manipulated in any way.

  • Bring in large .pdf, word, or .ppt files, spread them out, and put stickies on them for extracted learning.
  • Allow a group to put ideas together on stickies and then organize them in various ways.
  • Capture visual and written info together and imagine new visual organizations.
  • Capture notes from many interviews (same questions) side by side for analysis.
  • Make maps of processes or services or technology flows.

Cons
Discontinued Products
  • More cloud based services need to be added to the default service package.
  • Companies frequently require a small contact center within the UC environment. It would be nice to see a build it contact center in the box.
  • It would be nice to see some advanced AI based services (IVR voice recognition service) in the BE7K application list.
  • Call recording should be also built in.

  • Ability to export into other graphing formats. If it could export into cipher or JSON graph, I would love this tool more than any others.
  • I really need the ability to graph something and convert it to machine language. Currently, we have to use yED, which does graphml and ETL this to JSON. I don’t really like graphml tool and wish this could be done in Miro.
  • I would also love to import machine languages like cipher, XML, and JSON into Miro. Using API would be even better.
  • I think there’s an opportunity for better integration into backend systems that Miro is not trying to leverage.

There is no other tool like Miro for process Mapping in particular. I've tried PowerPoint, Word, and other programs, but when collaborating virtually on how to improve a process, Miro has all of the tools and more to enable successful mapping. The colors, different types of shapes and text books, along with the ability to integrate different documents and other functionality, make it ideal for this purpose. In a virtual world, it's a must-have.

It's pretty easy to use. My gripes are with some small idiosyncrasies with selection behavior with objects and editing text. When I move an object, it automatically de-selects it when I am not done with it. I have to click to select again. Text control is challenging and could be improved. It could use a little more styling capability. It's also weird that it behaves differently in a shape then when using the text tool.

I only give a 9/10 because of the speed at which it loads. I have never experienced issues with Miro logging me out early, or some other technical issue causing the program to crash, or even it just loading in perpetuity without ever actually coming up (unlike other programs such as SFDC). It take a minute for all of my boards to come up after I click on it in my favorites, but besides that, it's all good.

I took the loading quickly to be related to availability which I commented on before, so ditto with those comment on load time here. Although to reemphasize, Miro doesn't crash or just refuse to load like some other programs. The weak point of Miro for me is integration of files like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint (especially the later two). When you embed these, it gets slow, and complicated to bring them up while you're in the application.

The support staff at Miro are fantastic. Whenever I have had an issue, they have been timely and helpful with their response. They are also very knowledgeable and go out of their way to not only help, but offer proactive training sessions on different topics and new functionality so everyone can try it out.

Superb. very well explained videos. Really helps get the knowledge up on the product. The slides are divided into the topics of usage. I have enjoyed following and implementing all of these slides. The videos are well explained and it is easy to follow. There are tutorials that you can take yourself later. It would be nice however if more training modules were added.

I implemented it. I had to teach my clients on how to use it however and it was rather easy and smooth. I organized a short tutorial session before the first few meeting using the tools. People would either watch a video or come in 15 minutes early and I would ask them to complete a few task like adding comment, moving , object, and copying groups of objects.

I've used 220s and 240s too, but it takes a lot of time to set them up, a lot of time to download the iso files, and set up of datastores. 7k saves the engineer a lot of pre-build assessment and evaluation time. Gets a lot done in a lot less time, returns are a happy engineer and a happier customer.

Miro is great for scaling. In every department and subdivision across my entire organization, there is someone using it. From Sales to marketing, to manufacturing and operations; and even in legal and finance, there isn't a process or a department that is not using Miro, and if they aren't, they're missing out! Even at the highest to the lowest levels of the organization, it is essential for virtual collaboration.

  • It has helped me "not forget" opportunities within an account that I otherwise might have missed, so it has resulted in increased sales.
  • As I am working on an account, I also identify potential trouble areas so it helps me address early or avoid, preventing scrambling and possibly loss of actual or anticipated revenue.
  • It has definitely had a very positive ROI, and is well worth the money I spend. I couldn't contemplate life without Miro.
