ClickHouse

The most important thing when using ClickHouse is to be clear that the scenarios in which you want to use it really are the right ones. Many users think that when a database is very fast for a specific use case, it can be extrapolated to other contexts (most of the time different) in which a previous analysis has not been carried out.
ClickHouse is an analytical database, as such, it should be used for such purposes, where the information is stored correctly, the data volumes are really large and the queries to be performed are not the typical traditional queries on several columns with multiple aggregations. ClickHouse is not the solution for this.
On the other hand, if your case is not one of the above, it is quite possible that ClickHouse can help you. Where ClickHouse shines is when you are looking for aggregation over a particular column in large volumes of data.

Teamdesk is perfect for any operational tracking requirements for companies small or large, and any situation where you need to integrate with other systems since it can be set up to do that flexibly via its API and Webhooks. For example, you could track contacts, time and expense, projects and tasks, schedules, web leads, check-ins, order entry, quotes and invoices, support ticketing, and use the more advanced features to integrate with other systems to pull in currency exchange rates, various lists of data from other databases, send faxes, send bulk emails and so on. It does not do offline storage, so it would not be appropriate for a situation that offline work.

  • Provide a very good, customizable user management system.
  • Gives a lot of flexibility to customize database to your needs without requiring coding skills. Even allows to customize interface if you can code in html.
  • Provides unlimited space and records.
  • Gives an opportunity to have a database on EU servers to comply with GDPR
  • Offers very good pricing options comparing to competitors (Salesforce, Quickbase, etc.) and offers unlimited space.
  • Gives an opportunity to share your ideas how to improve the platform, many of which are being implemented
  • Customers service if very helpful and friendly. All my questions were answered within a couple hours.

  • The only down side that I see, is that you have to be willing to spend some time creating your database. You start with a blank canvas and all the tools you need to design a custom database. But, you have to take the time to do it. If you take that time, it is well worth it.

ClickHouse was not compared to them as a competitor but as the ideal partner to complete an information analysis system, providing users with the most complete and efficient tools. Therefore, in this case it was considered that it would be the ideal candidate due to its characteristics compared to the other competitors.

We have evaluated many other low-code offerings and none offer the all-around package that is provided by TeamDesk. They are a privately run and funded company and have been in existence for over 15 years. Many other companies in this industry have either been bought out and lost focus or simply gone by the wayside.
