mid range pricing, offered quite a bit like other vendors, but missing some functionality.
Chose eTrigue
None except for salesforce.
Chose eTrigue
As an agency we have experience with several other marketing automation platforms. We support clients that are not using eTrigue DemandCenter-- we'll work with them to create various campaign assets. This said, if our clients want us to also run their marketing automation …
Chose eTrigue
Constant Contact offered now tracking, lead alerts. Marketo wasn't as flexible-- for example not easy to schedule campaigns in advance, to launch in the future. Also liked the interface and the DemandCenter lead alert format more than Marketo.
Chose eTrigue
we talk to users of Marketo and Eloqua and they tell us that both are complex to use and difficult and time consuming to make changes - they also require full time administrators - eTrigue is refreshingly easy to use - does not require a full time administrator - has most of …
Chose eTrigue
eTrigue is more intuitive and easier to use. With Marketo you need extensive training and/or consulting or a dedicated, trained headcount. Eloqua is expensive and even more complex.
Chose eTrigue
Used home grown solutions which were less sophisticated. Evaluated other heavily marketed offerings which were more complex and expensive to implement and use. eTrigue was very easy to implement, easy to adopt and easy on the budget.
Chose eTrigue
We have used batch campaign systems, and relied on partners to run our campaigns previously. With eTrigue we can now run our own campaigns very easily, with little training required, and can change campaigns mid flow based on performance reporting. We have seen a 100% return on …
Chose eTrigue
Ease of use is unparalleled. Marketo is very challenging, too much training required. The integration with WebX or Go To Webinar is 30 pages long. We integrated WebEx with eTrigue in 5 minutes.

Act-On is limited because campaigns must be based on a list. Very inflexible.
Chose eTrigue

Many of the CRM systems meet some of these "must have" criteria. However, among the products in the market today, my experience is that eTrigue Demand Center and, just as importantly, the employees behind the eTrigue product, consistently outperform the competition on every …
Chose eTrigue
eTrigue DemandCenter was easier to use, more visual and intuitive, tons of features and the support team was the best to work with.
Chose eTrigue
eTrigue is far better than other marketing systems we have used because of the drag-n-drop, advanced search, ability to launch campaigns when all assets are not ready, and THE BEST SUPPORT I HAVE EVER USED. We tried Marketo and Pardot, then tested Act-on. With the other …
Chose eTrigue
It is easy to use, and is organized the way that marketers think. That is incredible. Top 2 for sure!
Chose eTrigue
Great value against all the top providers. Performs like the big dogs.
Chose eTrigue
When I first saw DemandCenter I knew it was different. With DemandCenter you "storyboard" your campaign. That one unique feature sets DemandCenter apart from the rest of the market. Consider the "storyboard" as the controlling document to all of your campaigns. From there, you …
Chose eTrigue
Ultimately, we selected eTrigue because of their stellar customer service. We are a small company and it SEEMED that it would be a good fit.
Chose eTrigue
In 2010, we evaluated Marketo and Pardot alongside eTrigue. And eTrigue was considered the 'Cadillac' of MA tools. More recently, we've checked out Eloqua and Hubspot. All of these are more-or-less clones, having all the same core features. Except for HubSpot, which should be …
Chose eTrigue
No comparison. Eloqua is clunky and time consuming. They both have the same features but eTrigue is cleaner, simpler, faster and less expensive. By comparison, Eloqua implementation and training took 2 weeks and an onsite paid consultant. eTrigue implementation and training …

Chose Twilio SendGrid
Twilio SendGrid is generally economical and thus can give better ROI compared to competitors and in a short period of time. Twilio SendGrid can be used for mass email campaigns and thus any marketer would prefer that for mass email marketing compared to say Outreach because …

Brevo was cheaper and doesn't support the spam testing but in my experience their support was much , much better.
Chose Twilio SendGrid
I have been using Sendgrid for a while now, and the main reason to select it in the first place was because of the data analytics it offered and data security. Its high deliverability and rates and the pricing offered for our requirement suited our budget; hence, we chose it …

Chose Twilio SendGrid
Sendgrid has a lot of features that other providers have and a few more - like the dynamic template builder, which AWS SES doesn't have. We choose the provider based on the scenario of use and the provider we're using. If we're going to be making regular changes to a template, …

Chose Twilio SendGrid
I use both. SendGrid as I stated before I use in a very simple manner - just as an email server basically- because the

Chose Twilio SendGrid
Twilio SendGrid is a great all around email marketing solution. It does everything that Mailchimp can do but offers a whole host of other features a professional marketeer would require. Mailchimp does not support email campaigns that promote gambling products.

MailGun answers support tickets inside of 24 hours and has as good as or better deliverability, and their team is knowledgeable and responsive.
Chose Twilio SendGrid
We also have Kartra, which is not in your list. Seriously, if I’m running the campaign, it’s SendGrid. I’m not a tech guy, but I can use it and can even design something and get the HTML code out if I need to.
My biggest gripe is that it’s so hard to move data across platforms, …
Chose Twilio SendGrid
I use this software along with Sendwithus too. Both the software I use for different sets of people.
Chose Twilio SendGrid
We prefer Twilio SendGrid as a solution, simpler installation, very low failure rate (less than 1%) Our goal is a 1 step solution that we never have to go back to, that way the client is only billed once and their ROI remains high.
Chose Twilio SendGrid
We selected SendGrid for the flexibility it offered us where we could set up APIs from our own database and CDP to trigger one-to-one messages, automate campaigns, personalize comms and save money over other systems that require you to host your data in their systems and charge …
Chose Twilio SendGrid

Chose Twilio SendGrid
Some of the other platforms we have used in the past appeared to be cheaper up front, but in the long run... they were a lot more costly than Twilio SendGrid. Some of the other email marketing tools did not offer drag and drop features that make building an email campaign easy …
Chose Twilio SendGrid
The only other transactional email program I've used inside of Dinely was Mailgun. Mailgun is great with deliverability and relatively cost effective as well. The only issue is it's not able to be rapidly implemented. If we wanted to design up transactional emails that wow our …
Chose Twilio SendGrid
Before using SendGrid we used MailChimp and were very limited with segmenting our users. Then we moved to ActiveCampaign and paid a ton of money for sending a few promotional emails per month. Then we got SendGrid - letting us rid both of ActiveCampaign and Mailgun and having …
Chose Twilio SendGrid
All of the aforementioned competing services don't have a transactional email component along with their email marketing campaign services. Also, SendGrid is the most economical value of the 4, while 2nd place goes to MailChimp with regard to pricing. I liked SendGrid out of …

Likelihood to Recommend
I would not recommend DemandCenter for anyone who doesn't know what they're doing or what they want. That sounds like a no-brainer, but it seems like a huge number of organizations want something to fill that "Marketing Automation" gap, not having the marketing infrastructure in place to support it. That is, a technically savvy person to design complex campaign logic and manage data, good web people for designing landing pages and emails, and content writers & managers & marketing specialists for everything else. Investing in a marketing automation tool does not mean you can exclude these resources - it simply means you can DO MORE with those resources. If you don't know what you want, and want to be babysat through the whole process but don't mind the limitations, you can always go with the MA tool that rhymes with "BubSpot".

Twilio SendGrid is well suited for those organizations who need to send mass emails very often to their prospects and customers and thus may be wary of a reliable tool that can do that without affecting domain reputation. It may be less suited for organizations which do not have say more than 10,000 target prospects and thus may rely only on 1:few ABM for sending emails.

Pros
  • Putting prospects in the system from spreadsheets is easy. Contacts can also be automatically brought into eTrigue from your CRM. (If you have Salesforce.)
  • Campaign reports show the actual numbers of prospects at each step of the campaign. The detail behind the number is available just by clicking on it.

  • Drag and drop email designer for transactional emails - super nice even though I do code, it's much quicker and easier to implement without code.
  • Very simple implementation. Only a few lines of code need to be added in our backend and boom we were up and running in less than a day.
  • Listening to customer feedback. They regularly send emails about new features and ask for feedback to improve their software.
  • Some of the cheapest and best dedicated IPs.
  • Easy integration and setup between marketing and transactional emails. Super helpful to have everything in one place.

Cons
  • I wish they could be able to customize URLs for landing pages for better SEO and branding.
  • Better SEO functionality and ability to customize those options on landing pages would be nice.
  • More useful and better detailed analytics would be nice.

  • Actually viewing previous emails dispatched. SendGrid does not have this feature - although it provides numbers on emails dispatched within 3 days for the cheapest plan.
  • The service asks you to pay more (although a minimal amount) to have visibility on email activity upto 30 days in the past.
  • The API doesn't allow an export of a report of email activity over a period of time. It can be quite frustrating at times to be limited in this way.
  • Their customer support isn't the best. Certainly some room for improvement there.

We rely on this tool. Going forward as we implement new back end architecture we may be forced to change to an integrated platform with our master data management infrastructure, but we will do so kicking and screaming. While marketing gets to make the choice, we will choose eTrigue.

Usability
Having used Marketo, Act-On, and Pardot, eTrigue is MUCH easier to use and easier to train new team members to use.

It has the potential to be really cool. However, it feels as if it was created by developers for developers (and I work with developers, yet even for me the instrument was somewhat not easy to use - just read SendGrid's help manuals...) However, if you are into data and your way of thinking is more mathematical rather than lyrical, you'll enjoy this instrument

Twilio SendGrid Email API is everything we want it to be, and we have no reason to look for any other solution. Features and pricing match exactly what we need. As developers for SaaS products, Twilio SendGrid Email API provides a great service. I hope that they stay this way and don't inflate the service with too many marketing oriented features, because there are other tools for that and Twilio SendGrid Email API is a API for sending email first and foremost.

You will need to think about which users you want to have each role, and the features allowed in each role. You should watch the training videos before you get live training. It saved us several hours as they had already answered 90% of our questions.

As an agency we have experience with several other marketing automation platforms. We support clients that are not using eTrigue DemandCenter-- we'll work with them to create various campaign assets. This said, if our clients want us to also run their marketing automation campaigns-- implement the campaigns after the assets are created, we only work in eTrigue as this our platform of choice. Our ability to support the robust and fast-paced needs of our clients requires us to use a platform that they can easily implement and that we can easily work in, make ongoing changes in. eTrigue DemandCenter is the platform that delivers.

My company had been using Postmark which was cheap but extremely limited. It was great for transactional email but not marketing. We also used ActiveCampaign for marketing emails but our list size made using that tool too expensive. We thought we were getting the best of both worlds with SendGrid but it has been disappointing.
