Considered Both Products
Lattice
Chose Lattice
because it simplifies the process of review and build a transparency.
Chose Lattice
Lattice is much user friendly and having easy integration then any other app. Lattice is smoth and having wide range of tagging features. It is easy to install and integrete with other apps. User friendly and really a great tool for performance management.
Chose Lattice
These other platforms are great at their own thing- like payroll for the most part, but some don't have native performance tools at all (ADP), and some are just so shallow and designed to just check the must-have boxes for orgs primarily focused on Payroll. Gusto and …
Chose Lattice
Lattice is not as good as these tools. We originally used it to integrate 1:1s with OKR tracking, but that's no longer the case. A lot of the benefits of using Lattice don't matter anymore, now that we're not tracking OKRs in it. We've moved our OKR tracking to Google Sheets
Chose Lattice
Lattice is easier to use and more visually appealing
Chose Lattice
I have not really used any other goal/performance review software similar to Lattice. So this is a first for me. We have used ADP Workforce Now to provide our organization chart, and I feel like the organization chart utilized in Lattice is cleaner and less clunky than it was …
Chose Lattice
Some similar functionality though the core functions are different. BambooHR is predominantly HR software but does have areas to manage goals as well as conversations with managers. I believe tracking goals is a bit better in Lattice and is more comprehensive but not quite as …
Chose Lattice
This was our previous system, and while it was highly customizable, the administration fell heavily on our central support team. There were also some easy of use issues (not the most UX friendly). Lattice solved both of those issues, plus added ongoing feedback mechanism that …
Chose Lattice
All-in-one performance platform for engagement, goals, reviews, 1:1, department information, feedback, growth plans, and a robust management system and smart workflows, and a great tool for remote-first companies and seamless integrations with Slack, calendars, and each tool in …
Chose Lattice
Even though ClickUp is mainly an HR platform, it can be used for a variety of purposes. The features are just right and it is straightforward and simple to use. Many of these platforms tend to add many features, which end up causing an overwhelming feeling but it has been …
Chose Lattice
Lattice is more fully featured than BambooHR on the performance management functionality. It allows greater customization and more capabilities. If your company is mid-sized or large, Lattice is the way to go. However, it does require having some staff dedicated to …
Chose Lattice
Lattice outperforms PeopleHR for a people development system, we continue to use PeopleHR for the HR functionality of the system but rather than having everyone upload their document with no real tracking on is one of the main reasons we have chosen to adopt Lattice. Lattice is …
Chose Lattice
At the time lattice allowed us to move off these two systems and use a single service. Both GTMhub and officeVibe were better tools but having a single sorce of trueth for our employees was more important. Since then officeVibe has caught up to Lattice and I can see it being a …
Chose Lattice
I don't remember the name of the specific product that I used previously, however, Lattice is the best performance tracker that I've used in comparison to the tools used at my previous jobs - some of which were more manual created a heavier lift for the user.
Chose Lattice
This is the first of its kind and so far from my experience, I am happy with it.
Chose Lattice
They are both effective, but Lattice is more user friendly and efficient.
Chose Lattice
Way better and geared towards what we needed.
Chose Lattice
To be honest, Lattice has been the only commercially known performance tracking tool that we've used. But I love it so far.
Chose Lattice
Lattice was the only platform we did a deep dive into. It was exactly what we were looking for and the reason we went with them is because of the public feedback module they have built-in as that was a really important aspect for us.
Chose Lattice
I haven't used another item similar to Lattice
Chose Lattice
Rippling also has an org chart feature, similar to Lattice. I feel as though Lattice's org chart is easier to read and break down by department.
Chose Lattice
The above tools do different things than Lattice. Lattice is more of a review system and greenhouse is for hiring and slack is for communication. I think Lattice is better in communication as you are talking through the issues rather than someone reading them in a chat. …

Lattice is very well versed in all things with performance and goals, but it is a separate program from the rest I work in; it would be nice to be able to integrate it into other programs I work out of more frequently. I do enjoy being able to have a program where I can track my goals and job growth.

Cons
  • it is not intuitive how to find a past review you wrote for someone that doesn't directly report to you
  • Lattice app (for phone) is very limited in scope and doesn't have face ID
  • sales team can be misleading; need to really double check and push on important issues

Support Rating
Lattice Support is not that good. We have had to have calls with them in the past and their product team did not have a lot of knowledge about their product. I believe they are able to provide a much better level of service and that would increase my likelihood to work with them again.

Alternatives Considered
These other platforms are great at their own thing- like payroll for the most part, but some don't have native performance tools at all (ADP), and some are just so shallow and designed to just check the must-have boxes for orgs primarily focused on Payroll. Gusto and TriNet/Zenefits try to be all-in-one solutions, but their foundations are payroll and HRIS, respectively, so their performance and engagement tools are either missing or severely lacking

Return on Investment
  • a different method to reaching the whole company that isn't through email or slack, not cluttering peoples inbox but having a dedicated space for praises and goal planning
  • where company data about personnel is stored and a way to engage with them and set up cadences for meeting and feedback, giving us a one stop shop instead of multiple avenues
  • a forum where we do all company surveys. from engagement surveys to mid-year reviews. makes this process streamlined and less fussy and confusing
