ObservePoint vs. StatCounter

ObservePoint is a great tool for automating page testing and standardizing campaigns to observe accurate customer insights. You can identify customer mapping journey. They also help in data protection and insights which are very important and essential these days. They should work more on easy interface designs. Overall, it is the best.

Free services provide a wonderful resource for people on tight budgets. If willing to put forth work in data managing/analysis and If basic high traffic information or drilling down specific users in low traffic situations is needed, then StatCounter may fit your needs. If automation and low overhead are a high priority then some more expensive packages can provide the same and more information with less hassle. Because StatCounter is free, there is low risk to see if StatCounter works in your specific usage scenario.

• The UI for ObservePoint is intuitive and robust. This makes training new engineers and using the product easy and productive.
• All Audit exports are formatted as tab delimited text files making the data easy to analyze and manipulate in a Spreadsheet or database.
• The list of tag vendors that are discoverable is comprehensive making it easy to interrogate most any tagging implementation.
• Standard reporting within the UI is robust and easy to consume.

• I can visit my site in real time showing pages visited and the duration of the visit.
• It shows very detailed data on where visitors came from.
• I could monitor the performance of campaigns in real-time as visitors came to my site from a promotion.

• Page details, although interesting, are not very useful as the data is too granular and not possible to integrate with other analytics data for insights.
• Some of the custom tagging may be a little complicated, so sometimes we need an engineer or an ObservePoint tech to help us out.

• I would like to see our referral traffic ranked in order of most to least. I'm not sure if this function exists already, but if it does, I do not know how to do it.
• Maybe put the average time on site on the same chart as the visitors and page views graphs.
• I feel as though some tasks can be streamlined, but this is not just unique to statcounter but to other analytics sites I've used. But people like digging really deep into the data, but for people like me who use it for one purpose, a shorter one-stop-shop version would be nice. Like one page where everything can be seen.

ObservePoint has a robust solution that is well supported and is continually innovating to meet new business and technology needs.

I have not had any issues with malfunctions when using statcounter, so that would lead me to continue using the program. I would like to see more social media measuring tools, but again, we don't use the program to dig really deep. We're just looking to figure out who is reading what articles on our website are the most liked. And it helps lead our editorial team in the right direction.

It's easy to navigate and learn. The reporting and output are intuitive and robust features for finding and identifying actionable insight.

I never have to call tech support and never get frustrated because I can't get the information that I need.

I've only experienced one system availability issue in the 3 years we've been using it.

Sometimes it can get a bit slow when auditing particularly huge sites but recent upgrades in infrastructure have done a lot to mitigate this behavior.

Support is very strong indeed and has been consistent over the last 4 years. They are also friendly and tag nerds like me!

It's easy to find the information you need when you need it and it is easy to consume.

Start with small audits until you have determined what you might want to filter out.

I have not used any other product other than ObservePoint for my requirements. there are a number of features for which it has proved helpful. Wish StatCounter had a more comprehensive report feature comparable to Google Analytics. I feel StatCounter is easier to use and to understand when compared to Google. Some people prefer Google Analytics, but it provides so much more information that the average person really needs. It meets basic needs. If you are looking for something more robust and high level of detail, I would recommend Google Analytics instead

I have not reached an unreasonable product limitation as of yet.

• ObservePoint has helped us quickly (within minutes) catch when a process or pathing on the website breaks, which allows us to fix it quickly. Whether technical/dev or analytics issues, without ObservePoint, they could have been undetected for weeks.

• StatCounter enabled us to track what works and doesn't work with regards to driving web traffic. On a personal use level, StatCounter enabled me to gauge how much additional effort I needed to make to reach the traffic levels needed on my website.
