The best thing among all was Sap because of its powerful dashboard and amazing services. While trying out a lot of clouds, it became clear that the business need can be taken care up by SAP. The other main purpose was that it provides best after sales service as well

Positives and negatives to both, Tableau is the best visually but not as strong on integration. Power Bi is very customization but is very ungoverned.

SAC with SAP Datasphere works like a charm, and it uses the Live connectivity. Negative side:-Clients cannot use SAC for regulatory reports, or they have to download the entire Data for sending it to government agencies.
Chose SAP Datasphere
SAP Datasphere is an exciting way to modernize our data stack, and what clinched it for us was how deep we're already in with SAP - it only made sense to try and leverage the synergies between Datasphere and our other SAP products.
Chose SAP Datasphere
SAP Datasphere has robust backend integration tools that makes it easy to integrate non-SAP unlike alternatives such as Snowflake.
Chose SAP Datasphere
DWC really allows no code model development and also integrates with a lot of data sources without additional tools as ETL

Compared to the SAP Business Warehouse, the DWC can be operated with the SAC in a cloud environment on the Business Technology Platform. Thus, a single point of entry or single point of truth is given in the DWC, and reporting in the SAC is possible. The complete corporate …
Chose SAP Datasphere
SAP Data Warehouse Cloud is flexible, highly integrated, and cost-effective compared to competitors, which has poor backend integration capability. In our organization, we prefer SAP Data Warehouse Cloud since it integrates with all external platforms we have in our system.

SAP
>> Using SAC predictive analytics capabilities for inventory management in a Production line setup has helped generate Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for raw or semi-finished goods without much head-banging into Demand management rules. It does it beautifully with seamless integration with HANA core MM and PP modules, along with BI integration. It has resulted in 30% greater warehouse storage capacity, thereby saving revenue from piled-up inventory and associated manpower costs. >> SAC sometimes shows latency in working out a large data set, thus giving a poor user experience compared to its competition. Also, it may occasionally show misinterpretations when embedding data from 3rd-party systems into the HANA core dataset.

SAP Datasphere is well suited for scalable cloud based data integration scenarios which also opens up the doors for AI driven insights which are much harder to achieve with on-prem data warehouses. Considering the licensing model of SAP Datasphere being based on consumption driven capacity units cost can be a big consideration for organizations with large volumes of data that can be a pre-requisite for data mining and AI use cases. So this can be a bottleneck or not so well adopted scenario for SAP Datasphere.

Cons
SAP
  • Complexity in Data Modeling
  • SAC supports various data sources, but improvements in the ease of connecting to and integrating with certain data repositories, especially non-SAP databases, would enhance the platform's versatility and integration capabilities.
  • An offline mode for SAC could be valuable for users who need to access and analyze data without an internet connection. Additionally, optimizing performance for large datasets and complex visualizations would contribute to a smoother user experience.

  • Need to have a good understanding of the SAP ecosystem to implement and use it.
  • From a cost perspective it can be little bit on the expensive side for enterprises.
  • The platform is still new and hence more subjected to bugs. But support for it is always good from the SAP team.

We are planning to review the licensing as we have issues with SAC dealing with huge datasets. Analytics area is good for import models but when we have live connections in place that's when we have issue with SAC dealing with huge datasets in live be it BW or be it HANA models in the backend.

We are moving into using SAP datasphere heavily and replacing all of the SAP HANA native calc view logic to the sap datasphere graphical view which will reduce the legacy SAP BW data warehouse. Also need some more features such as debugging, sql preview and prompts enhancements so that we can generate the reports.

SAP
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate 8 SAP Analytics Cloud's overall usability as a 7. SAC has a clean, modern user interface with drag-and-drop features. On the other hand, connecting it to third party solutions brings difficulties when there's no previous design and the objetives are not clear. SAP Analytics Cloud and Power BI are both tools that help businesses understand their data, but they have some differences. SAC, made by SAP, works well if your company already uses other SAP products. It's in the cloud, easy to use, and has features for analyzing data, getting insights, and planning for the future. Power BI, made by Microsoft, can be used in the cloud or on your own computers. It fits well with Microsoft tools, is easy to use, and can do advanced data analysis. SAC has built-in planning tools, while Power BI needs extra tools for detailed planning

Each of these listed software has its own unique strength and capacity that scales well.
