Likelihood to Recommend I think OpenHire is best for a small company (max about 2500 employees). The more employees you have the more HR people you should have and this can get expensive. I know most larger companies are using more advanced systems as well (Workday). During the selection process be sure to determine how many OpenHire users you would need. Ask whether your managers will be willing to work in the system as well or whether HR would have to own the entire process. If you are EEOC compliant, make sure you ask about diversity posting, APP tracking of applicants, and reporting needs. If you require an onboarding tool, SilkRoad offers RedCarpet. I found it to be very complex and hiring managers refused to use it. If you require an onboarding tool, definitely look into it. The demo may look great but there were a lot of implementation steps done to make it work and it just didn't fit our company culture. So make sure it fits yours.

Scenarios where CCH Tagetik is suitable is when a company have large amounts of data and want to transform, consolidate, store and produce reporting in different year, period etc with complex calculations and allocation. Tagetik is the tool for you in this case and it's very flexible in terms of creating your own business rule, calculation and reporting options with a user friendly interface. I have not thought about scenarios where it is not appropriate to use tagetik yet as the tool covers small and large business financial needs
Read full review Pros The ease of use when it comes to create requisitions from a hiring managers side of things is definitely a positive. It's very much user intuitive and the specifications can be completely customized as to what a company would like to appear within said requisition. Candidate correspondence is an absolute breeze as you can custom load templates into the system that can be edited at any time through an administrator in your company instead of having to go through a technical support team on the other side of things. Overall, it's a pretty no muss no fuss system to use as there's not a great layer of complication about it and like most things, spaced practice and consistent exposure to it tend to iron out those rough edges. From an administration standpoint, adding in locations and hiring managers is incredibly simplistic along with reporting functionality. Candidate folders have come a long way in the system and are much more user friendly at this point than when I began using the system some four years ago. It's very easy to shift candidate profiles between folders and edit on the fly. Read full review Wolters Kluwer CCH® Tagetik
Processes are clearly described in CCH Tagetik ; users can easily find where they are and which action they have to make Interaction with Excel is really fluid ; the Excel add-in is easy to deploy and to updgrade, in the hand of users. It is reliable provided the internet connection is fast. Managing hierachies is obvious in CCH Tagetik. Hierarchies are fundamental for a good reporting ; CCH Tagetik has obviously a deep experience of this feature. SaaS : our experience with CCH Tagetik is of only 1 year, but it technically performs well, the system is reponsive, no shut-down, and updates (every quarter) do not disturb production. AIH seems to be able to manage very large quantity of data, and to provide advanced analysis functionalities. We did not have time to explore them. Read full review Cons OpenHire's user roles can create issues depending on how your company's hiring process flows. For example, at one company, the hiring managers were extremely involved in screening candidates yet the system seems very geared towards use of centralized recruiters who distribute candidates. The lack of ability to customize roles and security to match our managers' needs created additional burden on HR as well as frustration from hiring managers. I experienced several problems uploading documents to accompany a candidate's offer. There was a limit on the number, size and type of attachments that could be included, and there was no alternative (as vetted with OpenHire) besides sending a separate correspondence to the candidate. I found this to appear unprofessional to the candidate as well as creating an extra step in the process for HR/recruiting. The requisition process had a few issues which created inefficiencies in the process. Firstly, for times when you need to post a role confidentially outside of your standard process, there was no way to designate the req as 'confidential'. Instead, you had to use the 'executive' status which created issues (ie: inaccurate data in reporting). Secondly, OpenHire was unable to upload the company directory of emails in the requisition approver fields so rather than being able to select from a drop-down or using a 'smart' field, you had to type each approver's email out manually thus increasing the potential for error and delay in the process. Online help and manual is a bonus but could be improved e.g. the clarity of English explanations. Improved Excel compatibility e.g. formula driven reporting and dash boarding. Mobile phone connectivity e.g. launching a consolidation from a Wolters Kluwer CCH® Tagetik app. Read full review Likelihood to Renew It was a great solution for the company in all aspects, especially the cost. The company was not in a position to afford a solution such as Oracle
PeopleSoft . The only reason we did not renew OpenHire was we got acquired by a much larger organization and started utilizing the tools that the parent company had available

Because in my oppinion Wolters Kluwer CCH Tagetik is one of the most usable tools for consolidation, planning (controlling) and reporting. Its usability is quite easy and innovative. I like the data entry method for the customers with its workflow and tasks, quite easy way to implement a co pilot. And i like the reporting tool, with a lot of customization opportunities.

Surprisingly, this platform is a powerhouse ERP system. However, given time, when more and more organization is able to identify how powerful this tool can be, CCH Tagetik is able to stand as a competitive advantage to many of the Financial industry of today. Although, it needs time to understand the logic behind how CCH Tagetik is formed and setup, once it is known to the user, it is an easy day to day operations with minimal maintenance.

CCH Tagetik has alwyas been there in case we need help. In almost 20 years of commercial relationship, I have no evidence of times in which they were not available to answer a question or to solve an issue linked to their products, timely and efficiently.

I found the Excel piece of IBM
Cognos TM1 to be easier to use than CCH Tagetik. It was much easier to customize the data being pulled and the feel of the reports because of that. Other than that, CCH Tagetik has been more user friendly than IBM
Cognos TM1. Navigating within the application is much easier. IBM
Cognos TM1 had a lot of issues with certain modules that could not be open concurrently; this would often lead to phantom data being entered in the system. I have not had these issues with CCH Tagetik.

Gave us a tool that can absolutely grow with us to help multi phase implementations. A significant time savings in terms of the amount of time we used to spend running reports vs. the time we spend now. Unbelievable improvement. Gives us the option to use CCH Tagetik to solve business problems that perhaps we didn't have when we implemented CCH Tagetik. It gives us options without the possibility of implementing a whole other software package. Read full review ScreenShots Wolters Kluwer CCH® Tagetik Screenshots
