We have used Adaface psychometric tests, Software testing tests as first level screening.

Painpoints were
1) We needed something quicker and reliable as first hiring step
2) Proctoring features (especially chat gpt protection, video proctoring were a must)
3) Easily shareable test reports since our hiring managers wont be using the platform. So it has to integrate properly with our ATS

Adaface solved all of these and how. I suggest you try it once (they have a free trial, we used it to preview few tests. our hiring managers liked their sample questions. I haven't checked that part but from their words "its the best they have seen"). Since they were happy with the quality we went ahead.

We were able to screen 300 candidates within a week! No issues whatsoever. All candidates were happy with the platform as well.

If you have any doubts, I suggest you chat with their suppor team. They were super helpful ([...] is our contact there).
  • Psychometry tests
  • Typing tests
  • Software testing tests
  • Aptitude tests
  • Coding tests
  • Excel simulator
Cons
  • Pricing (they are costlier than others)
  • Assignments
  • SAP tests (they said this is in the works)
Anytime before in-person interview. Don't waste time doing anything else. Better to go with data. My suggestion would be to send candidates from resume screening stage or phone call stage to Adaface test stage. Candidates who pass are automatically flagged by Adaface. Those candidates take them to interviews. You will save a ton of time this way.
  • Time to hire dropped like 10x (especially first step resume -> interview)
  • Quality of hire
  • Candidate ratings (previous provider had 3.5 rating. with Adaface we got 4.9!)
It's super simple to use. Cleanest interface I have seen. UX is straightforward. They do have help center in case you are stuck but I didn't need it (Used it to know about ATS integrations once). Support team is helpful. Strong positive feedback from our hiring managers for their test reports.

For skills test
  • Addressing challenges in the recruitment process
  • Technical assessments on coding and other technical languages with ease
  • Streamlining the process of assessing candidates' skills
Cons
  • Sometimes questions are not elaborated or don't have sufficient material to grasp them properly, due to which candidates cannot understand them properly.
  • There should be the option of providing hints as sometimes, we as recruiters, may require such features to judge a person on a few other factors as well.
It simply helps us internally and externally. By externally, I mean we usually do a quick round of initial testing using Adaface, and internally, I mean we are planning to use it as skills assessment tool for our purpose.I am not sure if there is any control over the googlability of questions. Unfortunately, I cannot edit some questions, whose test is not super clear and I would like to correct it. Many candidates say that the test is anxiety-provoking
  • Has simplified our hiring process significantly, making for less expenditure during onboarding and interviewing
