We've never had a Linode outage. But we also don't use it for anything critical, almost entirely trials. We have used it for minor production servers for a couple of months at a time, but not with anything particularly important. We never had a problem though.

Can't really complain here. It's been excellent, and in all the years have never really had an issue. Uptime performance for us, is no more critical than the average business out there and it's been more than effective for us. There were a few times where emergency reboots were needed, upgrades etc.. but this was handled extremely efficiently, with little or no downtime. More importantly, with little overhead to us.

Uptime is the same for any online business, totally crucial. Linode always meets (or exceeds) expectations on this. We've only had downtime a few times in 12 years across a number of servers. There have been a couple of short, planned outages that we were notified of in advance. Although less than ideal, they are infrequent and well within what we'd expect for the pricing.

Overall I'm quite happy. Although my websites go down relatively a lot. Every time it's for about 10 minutes, but I think it shouldn't happen at all since every time there is no apparent reason. I never have these issues with shared hosting. It's not causing serious problems, although it gets pretty annoying sometimes.

I've experienced some downs with Linode, but none lasted for more than 30 minutes. I wish my local data center was as good. In four years, I have never received a complaint from my customers due a failure of Linode.

Any uptime issues that have set us back in a notable way were issues in the way we had our servers configured. Linode is consistently on top of any issues on their end and typically resolves them before we even notice there was an issue. They've been stellar.

In a span of five years, we haven't faced any network or service downtime with Linode. That really comes in handy when all our customers look for minimum uptime guarantee of 99.9%. That's Linode’s level of uptime which has helped us to stay peaceful and focus on our core. Linode has been most reliable in this matter.

Linode is very reliable. Usually when stuff goes down, it’s our fault or outside Linode’s control (like a fiber cut). As a company that deals with a lot of e-commerce clients, uptime is essential, otherwise they lose sales. Linode provides all the tools needed for a high-availability setup but even something as simple as a single node and a hot spare backup can be enough; Linode is very reliable.

I do not ever, in the 4 years I have been with Linode, recall any unscheduled outages. The two outages I do recall occurring finished before their scheduled finish time, and the system was returned in a working state after the upgrade process by Linode. Uptime is important for any business, if you fall off the web for even a moment, you can lose customers. I would love Linode to have Timezone support for when they schedule outages, but understand this is not really all that possible. As for when most of the world sleeps, New Zealand is in business hours - but that is time zones for you... and I understand it's hard to find the 'right' time to do what they need to do, to ensure stability and safety of their infrastructure.

Very important with some servers hosting reasonably high traffic transactional websites. Generally uptime with Linode has been good with little unplanned maintenance and only occasional planned maintenance causing minimal downtime.

Uptime is important and Linode have given us really good reliability. However, the most valuable part is that most of the downtimes we have are automatic and there is no need for us to intervene--that is priceless. The uptime of the managed DB:s is really good as well, no problems so far.

We sell millions of dollars worth of widgets every year. Every minute our website is online counts. We have never had a serious outage with Linode that has impacted our business. Their advertised uptimes are accurate, and their service is consistently reliable. I had the occasion of using their backup system (because of my mistake, not theirs), and that was also a painless process with minimal downtime.

Over the many years we have used Linode the uptime has almost been 100%, there have been a couple of times that a server needed to be rebooted but the downtime has been minimal. Linode does a great job of keeping everything running. Only when absolutely needed there may be a very short downtime.

In the web business, infrastructure downtime is simply not an option. To ensure reliability and maintain 100% uptime for our services, we employ a robust strategy utilizing multiple parallel servers deployed across different regions, all powered by Linode's infrastructure. This approach mitigates the risk of downtime due to server failures or regional outages, providing a seamless experience for our users regardless of their location.Furthermore, Linode's proactive approach to maintenance downtime is highly appreciated. By providing timely notifications a month in advance, Linode allows us ample time to prepare and adjust our redundant backup servers accordingly. This advance notice minimizes disruption to our operations, enabling us to seamlessly transition our workload to backup servers during scheduled maintenance windows while maintaining continuous service availability for our users. In essence, our partnership with Linode empowers us to uphold our commitment to reliability and 100% uptime, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted experience for our customers even during maintenance periods.

As Linode is our primary public facing provider, uptime is critical. We trust our customers with Linode's network, and have not been let down once. Even if you do not develop a geo-distributed solution, their network downtime or maintenance outages has been so infrequent that I no events come to mind - of course they happened - they were just so insignificant that they did not make me take note. Compare this to the frequent outages I still experience with Azure, and you can see why I go with Linode.

Very important, and this is where Linode has really let us down. In my experience, there have been 3x major 1h+ whole data centre outages in the London region in the past 3 months.

Reliability has been pretty much rock solid lately. They've had issues in the past when they were the target of a DDoS, which is a challenge to defend for any company, and I appreciated Linode's communication and willingness to assist, but also their infrastructure improvements which seem to have alleviated the issue. Oh, and they make SLA claims easy (or they did, it has been years since I had a SLA claim).

Running websites, particularly ecommerce websites, means that reliability is at the core of your business. Every minute of downtime costs money. Like I said earlier, I have been with Linode for at least a decade, and I can remember the few times that Linode downtime has caused me worry -- they are rare. I find them very reliable.

The reliability with Linode has been spectacular for the 8+ years we have been using them. I have experienced virtually no downtime and have total confidence in their reliability. The one instance was a minor issue on their end with their DNS API, but support was helpful in identifying the issue and it was fixed within about an hour.

Linode is good about letting me know if and when it has any scheduled or unscheduled downtime. Usually I don't even notice it. My server might restart every now and then, and my (low-traffic) website is back up and running before anyone seems to have missed it.
