Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use NinjaOne as our RMM solution. It solves automating software installs, system patching, and device management. Software installs became easy with their built in scripting. System patching is on a set schedule versus having a tech push update scripts. Devices are easier to manage due to the centralization of the platform.

Pros

  • Software Installs
  • OS Patching
  • Security Integration with AV Software

Cons

  • Create OOBE NinjaOne USB

Likelihood to Recommend

NinjaOne is great for mass script deployments. IE we implemented a new software and pushed the install file via NinjaOne. NinjaOne offers many advanced analytics, but I feeling their reports/reporting tools could be better.

Great value for the features provided

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

NinjaOne is our application for remote control & support of our internal employee base, and our customer systems. We primarily use the remote control/remote desktop feature, with the monitoring & alerting capabilities utilized as well. Additionally, we use NinjaOne to patch critical infrastructure, roll out feature updates and patches for our software, and communicate with end users via the chat window feature

Pros

  • Remote Control of Machines (single user and concurrent session)
  • Patch management
  • Alerting/Monitoring

Cons

  • The chat feature is great, but only available when you are actively controlling an endpoint. Would be nice to have an option for the user to call for support through the agent.
  • Monitoring is great, but more granularity on data is needed.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited for support and management of a large fleet of endpoints, particularly across multiple regions and locations. Its well suited for MSPs for this reason. Its also effective for managing patching and updates for server infrastructure, where some other products are unable to manage. Its useful being able to access these features across multiple networks and domains.

There is an option to monitor network equipment such as switches, but it didn't provide any information that wasn't already provided in the switches cloud portal.

NinjaOne - a quality investment for managing your infrastructure

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use NinjaOne for inventory management, patch mangement, and to a very low extent also vulnerability management. It helps us keep an eye on machine having the appropriate security updates from the vendors as well as ensure our client's sites are up and their SSL's are current. It's a great product.

Pros

  • Patch Management
  • Inventory Management
  • SSL Management
  • Sharing knowledge via webcasts and emails

Cons

  • I'd like to see vulnerabilities map to MITREATTACK or NIST framework.
  • Showing compliancy data would be nice (SOC2, etc)
  • MDM that isn't an add-on would be great

Likelihood to Recommend

NinjaOne is great for a comprehensive inventory management as well as a supurb RMM; it's far and away a much greater platform than ones that I"ve used in the past (I've been working for years in MSP organizations).

Patch management is the second of the "one, two punch" that NinjaOne provides for our organization. It is outstanding at tracking and enforcing patch mangement, which is great for our security footprint as well as for our compliance goals.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use NinjaOne mainly for patch management and remote access of systems. Clearly seeing all machines needing updates and launching these from the interface cuts down on the length of time to deploy patches. Also being able to see key metrics from systems helps us diagnose problems. Being able to remotely control the machines from the same interface is a bonus.

Pros

  • Machine information gathering
  • Patch Management
  • Remote Access

Cons

  • Interface to deploy patches could be better.
  • Integration into more antivirus solutions.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited to patch management and remotely monitoring machines. It would be useful if the remote agent could attempt to restart itself if it enters a stopped state.

Love this product

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

When Furniture Mart purchased the company I used to work for, this was the one program I pushed hard to bring along and integrate into their systems. It allows all of our techs and admins to help our users maintain their systems across all 5 states. We also have gotten alot of use out of the scripting and ability to push updates at times that don't affect our users or customers. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a product to ease their IT workloads.

Pros

  • remote access
  • installing and updating apps
  • allowing helpdesk to check system stats without logging into computer
  • allowing helpdesk to see which services are running

Cons

  • MDM is still pretty basic
  • mobile app notifications for scripts and alerts

Likelihood to Recommend

Being able to push updates to machines outside of normal hours which allows customers to not be inconvenienced. We also use it alot for our helpdesk to be able to see services, specs, and running software on a user's computer when they call in for help. We love that we can find a user logged into a computer without them knowing which computer they are on.

NinjaOne has been a great decision for us

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently use NinjaOne to manage 2000+ endpoints across hundreds of customers. It handles our remote access to the devices, OS patching, software patching, and management automation. I have used multiple other RMM solutions in the past, but NinjaOne has been the easiest to get up and going at a pretty advanced level. It does everything we need and does it quickly.

Pros

  • Remote Access
  • Automation/Scripting
  • OS Patching

Cons

  • Antivirus integration
  • Autoremoval of machines that have been disconnected for extended periods
  • Better handling/alerting for failed automations

Likelihood to Recommend

NinjaOne is well suited for situations where you need fully remote management for servers and workstations. In our case it gives us the ability to handle after-hours requests without tying up a technician for the entire night/weekend as well as rapid response to emergency requests.

Definitely worth the time to implement

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use NinjaOne to remote into user desktops for software installation and troubleshooting. I can see all of our systems both physical and virtual, which makes keeping up with devices very easy and simple. NinjaOne fits very well into our work appropriately business model giving IT the flexibility to troubleshoot from anywhere.

Pros

  • Provides a hardware inventory
  • Allows a quick remote connection to systems
  • Has a very simple admin interface

Cons

  • The NinjaOne endpoint agent should update automatically prior to a connection
  • It would be great to boot into the BIOS
  • I would like to see a mobile app for iOS mainly for sharing a desktop

Likelihood to Recommend

We have used NinjaOne for multiple data migrations resulting in a less stressful way to reformat systems, manage hardware, and check on a system's resources while troubleshooting or installing software. The ability to remote in from anywhere has been a game changer for our remote IT staff allowing better coordination and capabilities.

NinjaOne is a daily game changer

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use NinjaOne daily to keep track of inventory of the hardware and software we have deployed. We push updates to all desktops to keep them up to date with all software, not just Microsoft updates. Once of the best features we use is the remote control part where you can take over a users desktop to either help them with an issue or just remotely work on the PC when the user is not there.

Pros

  • Remote control of user desktops is top notch. We used to use Teams share but that has limits like when a popup is giving for admin rights. With Teams you do not see that screen and therefore can't login, whereas NinjaOne allows full control and you see any/all popup messages.
  • Pushing updates for non-Windows updates is a game saver. Most everything we use is already setup in Ninja and you just have to select a box to say to keep them up to date on the desktops.
  • Software inventory is nice to do checks on what is installed on PC's and to uninstall software that you no longer use or support.

Cons

  • Android MDM is not there at all currently. We needed a way to lock down users so they could not access email unless they use the MDM and there is no option to do this lockdown currently like Microsoft Intune does out of the box.

Likelihood to Recommend

NinjaOne is great for any small team that needs to support a lot more PC's that they do not have the time to manage individually with updates and patches.

  • patch managing
  • remote management
  • automation

Cons

  • tabbed remote viewer

Likelihood to Recommend

Ninja Remote Connection

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use NinjaOne for our support. We utilize the ticket system, patch management, backup, and remote functionality.

Pros

  • Ninja Remote Connection
  • The Ticket System
  • Installing the Agent on Laptops

Cons

  • I often find that NinjaOne's patch reports are incorrect.

Likelihood to Recommend

It's very good for support, but there are still some things missing here and there. NinjaOne 's SNMP queries and patch reports aren't yet good.
