Overall Satisfaction with NinjaOne
NinjaOne is our application for remote control & support of our internal employee base, and our customer systems. We primarily use the remote control/remote desktop feature, with the monitoring & alerting capabilities utilized as well. Additionally, we use NinjaOne to patch critical infrastructure, roll out feature updates and patches for our software, and communicate with end users via the chat window feature
Pros
- Remote Control of Machines (single user and concurrent session)
- Patch management
- Alerting/Monitoring
Cons
- The chat feature is great, but only available when you are actively controlling an endpoint. Would be nice to have an option for the user to call for support through the agent.
- Monitoring is great, but more granularity on data is needed.
- ROI & Budget improvement
- Reaction time to system events
It has improved the abilities of my team to manage devices and support end users. We had previously utilized another RMM application, which was far more expensive, and less feature rich. We were regularly experiencing bugs in the system that were not able to be solved by anything other than moving to the newest version, which was resolved by NinjaOne.
NinjaOne has been instrumental to improving the security posture of our environment, as we previously had no method to enforce patching policies on our remote infrastructure in place at customer environments that were not set up with a local patch management system. Ensuring we can manage the version of our own applications and the windows versions of endpoints has been helpful.
We have been able to automate deployment of app versions of our proprietary application to multiple sites spanning vast distances. The other management task that has been most improved is the reaction time to system events by way of alerts generated in the system. Alerting & system events have provided more system insight than was previously available.
- Kaseya VSA and Atera
We found NinjaOne far more user friendly and less resource heavy than VSA. Our overall experience was greatly improved from VSA as we experienced many recurring issues with the agents. Additionally, NinjaOne was far more cost effective per endpoint and provided similar, or greater features than VSA.
Atera was briefly considered, but it seemed to be more of a 'jack of all trades' app that didn't suit our specific use cases.
