I use Procore to manage the financial commitments and overall cost tracking status of each project. I also use it to solicit pricing and manage the bidding process. I manage all types of projects with Procore, from small renovations to large ground-up high-rises. Procore is a great tool for managing various aspects of projects, ranging from the bidding & preconstruction phase, during the daily project workflow & day-to-day phase, through the final completion and turnover phase. The Preconstruction, Project Management, and Financial Management modules within Procore are all very intuitive and user-friendly. Help is always available and readily accessible via the handy "Question" mark button, which automatically launches a chat session with a Procore technical support representative.
  • Ability to customize reports for sharing and distribution.
  • Ability to manage outside collaborators and control what information they have access to.
  • Overall flexibility which offers different ways of entering and tracking information.
  • Mass emailing capability, which is great for soliciting pricing or sharing important announcements.
  • Great customer support and feedback.
  • The Procore app is still missing some features that are only available on the desktop version.
  • The invoicing function within the Financial Management module would be more user-friendly if it was possible to edit the formatting and customize it more to match specific requirements.
  • Deleting old, outdated, or duplicate contacts from the Directory can sometimes require multiple steps that seem unnecessary.
Procore is well suited for managing numerous scenarios and aspects of the overall construction management field, such as bidding & preconstruction, project management, financial management, field activities & work progress, project reporting, and communications. Some specific scenarios where Procore may not be the best tool would be those that require be doing take-offs or quantity surveys, as these may be better suited for more estimating focused programs or applications.

Procore has been very helpful for our company. It keeps our documents stored and up to date, makes it simple to find them, and access them basically from anywhere. This is very helpful because it does not take storage space from our devices and since we are based on different projects, we can access them anywhere. It is also a very visual tool that helps to visualize goals and time frames to keep track of our progress. Simplifies sending invitation bids and keeping records, and it is also great for keeping a directory of providers and subcontractors. Very organized and helpful. Great training and information provided.
  • Directory
  • Drawings
  • Prime contracts

  • The new Procore community is complicated.
  • Access to training has changed and it is more difficult.
  • Some of its features make you go back and forth.
I have never really worked with any other platform but my experience with Procore and their technical Support Team has been impeccable and beyond expectations.

We manage our documents from drawings, specs, RFIs, and submittals on Procore. We also use it for change orders, quality verifications, and safety checks. It saves time by automatically hyperlinking documents and allowing us to complete many tasks in one window without downloading large files. It helps us solve problems by streamlining communication and notifying responsible parties in a timely manner.
  • Fewer clicks
  • Automated
  • User-friendly
  • Drawing markups
  • Spec markups
  • Desktop option
It is well-suited for overall project management and to house all of the information in one place. For tech-heavy tasks like build integration models, detailed schedules, and drawing takeoffs, there are more task-specific tools available that would be more appropriate than Procore for these tasks.

Procore is integrated into every aspect of our daily tasks. With Procore, we are able to efficiently manage RFIs, submittals, safety, financials and so much more.
  • RFI managment
  • Submittal management
  • Customization
  • Field communications
  • Drawing management
  • Financials need the ability to be customized i.e. field-sets
  • More control of auto generated communications i.e. observations.
  • Easier set up for creating commitments.
  • The ability for multiple GC Superintendents to be able to create a daily report based on area.
  • Better formatting options for test boxes.
  • Ability to pull information from multiple tools into one custom report.
Procore is well suited for managing projects with large teams of people where communications and documentation are key. It would be less appropriate to utilize Procore on small, 1 man, projects where information sharing is not necessary.

We use Procore on all of our projects, from small renovations to large new builds. We use drawing management, RFI's, submittals, document storing and sharing, change management, and daily logs. The live documents help with coordination onsite.
  • Easy to navigate
  • Different permission templates.
  • Marking up drawings is simple.
  • Amount of emails generated from within.
  • Submittal generator
  • Schedule should be able to incorporate Microsoft Project.
It works well for managing project documents but some of the execution is not practical.

Currently my company uses Procore to manage projects from cradle to grave. We manage drawings, schedule, and finances on the software. We also create and close out punchlists from our iPads in the field which is the Owner's favorite tool. Allowing the pictures and location diagram to truly illustrate where issues are located helps members not currently on site stay involved in the process.
  • Detailed listing of updated drawings, which includes the history
  • Great punchlist tool
  • Website allows field personnel to easily navigate from any device
  • Would be nice to have an add-in for modeling or BIM outputs
Great tool for large projects and big teams. Smaller sites or companies may not be able to afford price point.

I use Procore on a daily basis for managing and analyzing manpower on the jobsite, managing all inspection and QC documentation including but not limited to wall close-ins, concrete pours and floor close-ins. Procore greatly assists with keeping all inspections and punch out walks all in one place. Additionally, all inspections and punch items can be linked to drawings and easily distributed to responsible parties to move work along.
  • Integration of information necessary for in-field success with project management team input.
  • Linking what is being completed/not completed on site to drawings viewed/assigned to others for greater accountability.
  • User friendly, everything is fairly intuitive and easy to learn one you understand how it is formated.
  • Creating inspections, for the first time, can be difficult to set-up but easy to do once you've done it once.
  • I struggled at first with putting meeting minutes in after OAC, Foreman's meetings, team meetings, etc just based on the order you have to input information to make it all show up on the next meetings agenda. Once I got the hang of the process, I've been fine.
  • At times Procore is laggy, especially when dealing with projects with large amount of files. The time to update between the computer and phone can be delayed which is frustrating at times especially when you need something out in the field.
Being in the construction management side of construction. Procore is very well in tuned with the needs of construction management and their trades. The software handles drawings, meetings, RFI and Submittals very well and allows great integration between drawings and other documents such as RFIs and field observation (images, safety, etc). Procore lacks in integration of 3d/4d modelling into the Procore drawings which can be frustrating for MEP heavy projects using Revit or Navisworks. Overall, it makes my day to day much easier.

  • RFIs are very easy to enter
  • Submittals are very easy to manage
  • Schedules are easy to update
  • Financials are a bit cumbersome
  • Frequent outages
  • Submittal process is good but has challenges

Procore is used by our commercial development for construction projects from project discussions, bidding, communication, specification/drawing review, submittals, RFIs, team meetings, schedule and trade coordination, through punchlist and owner turnover. Access to documents and ease of communication is tantamount! PROCORE helps us keep projects running smoothly and keeps all the current information at everyone's fingertips.
  • PROCORE has a great history and defined integration plan. Lots of moving pieces go into managing contacts and projects and the initial integration is guided by some easy to follow guidelines with a support team at the ready. The time to implementation is short and the reward is great!
  • PROCORE is powerful in its ease of use in the field. Users in the field have an intuitive piece of software with all of the information at their fingertips. Most users can access all they need without any support.
  • PROCORE has THE BEST Support teams of any software I have ever used with email, phone and instant chat access to knowledgeable support team members as well as a customer success contact and countless u-tube tutorials and product release notes.
  • PROCORE listens to customers and institutes changes to keep making the software better, including working with many other software applications to strengthen everything through collaboration.
  • PROCORE has great support and is always available to assist.
  • PROCORE tries to do its best to work well for everyone, sometimes the multiple ways things can be done are a little harder to troubleshoot from an administrative standpoint.
  • There are always things that come up that are a little bit harder to adminster, but we have found that that comes with the territory with the complex permission levels that you may want to assign. It is easy when you get in and continue to work in the system, and better supported with constant access to help, than our previous systems.
  • PROCORE continues to grow, which results in occasional slow times. PROCORE does keep up with their growth with adding additional servers and sending out alerts when functions go down.
  • PROCORE is reaching out to different groups and not fully noticing when a change for one group affects another.
PROCORE is extremely well suited to owners and construction managers for managing construction projects of any size. We have not used it for residential construction yet, however we do think it would be great for sending out information, communicating and tracking owner selections as well as managing punchlists and owner follow-up work.

  • Construction financials from change inception thru owner billing.
  • Data collection of your work for reporting purposes.
  • One solution on-line for the entire team to use.

  • Cross tab reporting capabilities are lacking.
Able to be used on-line from almost any device from anywhere.

I manage submittals, RFIs, drawing changes, daily logs, photos, etc. on Procore. Procore helps solve design issues and helps with document control by linking RFIs and submittals to drawings. It also can determine changes between contract document revisions. The entire project team can collaborate at the same time and utilize the same information.
  • Document control
  • Collaboration
  • Capture construction data
  • Categorizing drawing sets
  • PCO's
  • Correspondence
If you work on large complex projects with a lot of data, drawings, correspondence going through the project, Procore is a great system that can help organize all these items so that any project member can review and stay informed. On projects in which the design changes often, Procore allows the ability to keep accurate document control.

We use procore as a project management and document management tool. We send files between contractor and owner using this tool, and mainly utilize submittal tracking. Our projects range from 1 to 10 million dollar contracts. Procore helps to keep us organized and documented. It's helpful to make sure all parties are on the same page.
  • Document management
  • Submittal organization
  • Email reminders
  • New feature announcements
I really like it for project management, it's been a tool I've used to keep organized for a long time now. I think I've worked on maybe five individual projects using Procore and helped manage three more. Sometimes it is a hassle when our owner uses a different platform, but I've had projects where all parties use the same platform, and it really helps a lot.

We use Procore to manage the documents for our different projects. It helps us to stay organized and keep track of various items such as contracts, quotes, and the schedule. • Integration with other programs
Procore works very well for general contractors. It is hard to learn the program, but once you do it becomes a great asset. I think Procore works well for subcontractors who are willing to learn a little about the program and how to use it. Not all subcontractors are willing to use it and I think that is where Procore falls a little short.

We started using Procore as an intercompany tool in order to be able to communicate in real-time with our field teams. We now use it with many GC's as well as intercompany. It allows us to have real-time documents available to the entire company. It has helped to [alleviate] the paper set of plans that always seemed to be out of date!
  • Real time document sharing - current working plans & documents

  • Customer support and assistance
  • Procore to Procore! Can't wait for our Procore to be able to talk to my GC's Procore!
  • Multiple emails regarding the same stuff - but that is user error, not Procore!

I manage commitments, documents, and drawings in Procore. This is how I can interact with the other [subcontractors] and have a way to log all interactions between everyone. This is how I can keep everything in one place for future inquires. The only problem I used to encounter was having so many email chains and not everyone on the job was copied. This solved it.
  • Straight forward workflow
  • List of all emails per commitment
  • POs are easier to execute and approve
  • Document layout
  • Publishing drawings
  • Sending out emails to everyone on team when something is updated
Procore is a good product that makes it easy to keep all the separate parts of a project in one place. When there are many different departments involved in a project, Procore allows anyone, as long as they have permission, to see where the other departments are. You can also create permissions per person on what they have access to.

I work for a structural steel fabricator and erector and our projects that go the smoothest are the ones that move through Procore. I wish every single one of our general contractors used Procore. Uploading submittals and RFIs is a breeze. The biggest benefit is being able to track where they are in the process. That can keep you out of hot water when the schedule is getting tight and you can reference right back to the submittal turnaround times. Being able to go pull design drawings that have been posted at will and being able to go find other subcontractor contact information is a massive help and time saver. No more waiting days for the project manager with the general contractor to send you the two drawings you requested.
  • Submittal Tracking
  • Tracking of Drawings
  • RFI Submittal
  • Job Contact Database
  • It is still designed for GCs with Subs as an after thought
  • Drawing Recognition is better but still not superb
  • Offering additional training to its users that pay for Procore
Anytime I submit drawings to a general contractor and I get the Procore notification saying they have been processed I feel a bit of relief because I know that multiple people received that same notification saying that the drawings are on their way to the next destination. [The] same goes for RFIs.

Pros

Ease of use for our staff clients and subcontractors. The amount of information track is perfect for our firm

Cons

We wish there was a cost-effective manner in which our accounting software would integrate and speak to Procore. Also, we have to use separate software for our facility management division.

  • On boarding
  • User interface
  • Archiving for future reference
  • Fully integrating with our existing accounting platform
  • There is nothing else we need
Procore is perfect for General Contractors, Developers, and tenants to use in their construction programs. It would probably not make [much] sense for sub-contractors to have their own subscription.

We are a General Contractor and most of our projects are multifamily complexes. Built from the ground up as well as remodels. One thing that Procore assists with is in keeping our subcontractors working at a steady pace. The subcontractors have to complete a Daily Log Report every day they are on site. They have to list everything that they completed that day and in doing this it is a constant reminder of how close they are to reaching their deadlines.
  • Procore keeps project documents organized, in one place. I have worked for General Contractors that have and have not used Procore. When I worked for the General Contractors that did not use Procore, the close-out process took twice as long because I had to track down some of the documents.
  • Procore connects our administration team at our main office with our field teams at the projects. [Whenever] someone updates something in Procore - everyone with permission has access to the most current version of a document.
  • Procore can assign permission levels to end-users. This is very important because certain documents are confidential and should not be accessed by our subcontractors. In addition, it controls who is able to edit something in Procore and this is invaluable. I had an experience in the past when a team member (at a different company) took it upon themselves to update a project document when they didn't know what they were doing. The correct information was lost and there was not a [backup] copy because it was a document on the company server.
  • Procore could improve the format of the Photos section. It is really annoying that you can create a folder and then place other folders in it. All folders remain separate and that leaves it really messy and unorganized.
  • The Meeting Minutes in Procore need an update. When you create a new meeting from a previous meeting, I wish it would place the previous meeting minutes in the area for the New Official Documented Meeting Minutes because a lot of the time an entry is used for several weeks. The end-user could delete what they don't want in the new minutes.
Procore is a fantastic system for Construction Project Management. It keeps everything organized, it's accessible from anywhere and if you need help, the customer service agents are knowledgeable and courteous.

We are a general contractor that [uses] Procore for managing the construction document workflows and interactions with our clients, and to keep accurate and [up to] date construction documents available for our subcontractors. Procore helps us to keep all documents and correspondence connected and organized so we can keep track of the progress and decisions made along the project lifecycle. We manage multiple projects ranging in size from $100k to $40m.
  • Maintains a log of RFI's that can link back to drawings and submittals.
  • Maintains a version history of plans and drawings to ensure everyone is working off the latest construction documents.
  • Keeps accurate records of change events and daily logs.
  • Allows subcontractors to easily invoice and submit pay applications.
  • Great ability to customize access control so people only see what they need to.
  • Great customer service, that promptly answers your questions.
  • The submittal workflows in Procore are extremely manual. If a workflow has started and someone leaves the company you need manually go into every single submittal and change it manually.
  • There is a lot of functionality and it can be difficult to learn at first.
  • Procore is very expensive.
  • Some of the internal workflows to convert changes to PCCO's can be redundant and time-consuming and the status of different items changes what you can and cannot do.
Procore is great for having a single project repository that links all construction documents associated [with] a project. It is not very efficient at submittals or working in locations where [the] internet is not available.

I use Procore constantly as a Project Engineer in Construction. Procore is our company's way of ensuring that each person who comes into contact with our project has access to the same up-to-date information. We use Procore to manage all of our project's Drawings, Specifications, Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, Subcontracts, Safety Forms and Inspections, Project Contacts, Documents, Meeting Minutes, and so much more. It provides us with peace of mind that everyone is working off of the most up-to-date and current information and that everyone has a one-stop-shop for any information they may need.
  • Procore is very user friendly and provides very simple training for every tool.
  • Procore emails are sometimes easy to gloss over or miss because of the quantity you receive. These [get] easier to pick out over time.
