Anchor is a great podcast app for folks just starting out with podcasting or who want some of the technical things to be streamlined and simplified. With the built-in audience of Spotify subscribers, it's also easy to get started with a listening audience. There are easy ways to connect to other Podcast platforms and easy ways to integrate ads if that's something you want to do as a podcaster.

Anchor is great for getting started with podcasting. It makes getting started in the space really accessible to anyone with a smartphone. It seems to work great for individuals and small businesses. There are probably better options for more established brands out there, as Anchor does limit some of your options, but for those getting started or those that don't have needs beyond Anchor's limitations, I would highly recommend it over the competition.

If you are brand new to podcasting or want to actively use songs on Spotify in your episodes, Anchor makes the setup and continued development of your show incredibly easy. While organization for your show is essential and Anchor makes it easy, feel free to use other supplemental programs to better enhance your experience.

Anchor is free - so that's always appealing. However, like with many things, "you get what you pay for" The basic functionality of being able to host, produce and distribute a podcast is there - so anyone looking to quickly and easily share their content can do that with Anchor. For those looking for more specific controls (such as rich analytics, stronger advertising options, customizable embed options, etc) - Anchor isn't there yet in my opinion.

The educational tutorials for podcasters are very beneficial for independent consultants. Anchor, by Spotify assisted the process of getting started as a novice user. The ease of use in a virtual environment is the primary attraction to the software. This allows use for a small business and is cost efficient for independent consultants.

Anchor, by Spotify, is well suited and appropriate for the below-listed scenarios -
1. Businesses/Individuals looking for an easy-to-use platform for hosting and distributing their podcasts.
2. Businesses that do not require integrations with third-party analytics or similar tools in the RSS Feed because Anchor does not support the same.
3. Any one else looking for a simple yet effective free tool for podcast hosting and distribution.

Whether for a personal or professional use, Anchor by Spotify really prove the greatness of Spotify, a complete tool for us to plan and execute podcast content. The great thing also is that they can sync with the ads and monetizing plan.

It is excellent for audio files and has a listing of all your files available and labeled for anyone to use It has plenty of options for uploading audio files and managing them The mobile apps are excellent in both Android and iOS, with features that even paid options do not have It is not the best option for companies that have different levels of audio files, meaning one batch of files for marketing, another for sales, etc., since the options to separate by theme is limited, and it is quite difficult to search all over your audio files archive to find exactly what you're looking for It is also lacking in high-level support and help in using the system, but it makes sense since it is a free service and there are no hosting nor usage fees We also found one situation when a user wanted to listen to a file and it did not download it and started "skipping", but we were never able to reproduce the error and chalked it to network failure or something like that

Anchor, by Spotify allows a non-technical person to convert text into sound with its simple dashboard mechanism. It allows the link to WordPress where a recently authored blog can be converted to voice (male or female). It is a simple conversion process and moves fast. Once I publish a blog, I select Anchor and I go through the process to change the blog into a podcast. One doesn't have to be technically savvy to use the app.

Best Suited: Anchor, by Spotify is best suited for smaller teams who are new to podcasting as it is super quick to get up and running. It can definitely be used by larger teams too.

Less Appropriate: If you need to host your podcast on your own website or want to create an integrated podcast site on your current website, there are more extensive solutions.
