Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 Virtual Office
We use 8x8 Virtual office as our exclusive VoiP communication tool for every department in every office. Using Virtual Office gives us a consistent communication tool. From the office, to the home office, even when out of office, 8x8 Virtual Office lets me take and make calls with the same quality. Managing the lines, ring groups, voicemail recordings, and call recordings are all a breeze with 8x8 Virtual Office.
- 100% compatibility across any platform you can think of. You will also be connected and appear to your client as if you're at the office.
- Customer service is the best! Incredibly attentive. Respectful. Helpful. If the product was weaker, I might stay just for the support I've received.
- Incredibly robust options, but with a very intuitive UI. It's not hard to reset a password or set up a phone.
- Call recording quality is clear and easy to access and share. For someone in sales, this is incredibly helpful, as it allows me to improve myself and coach others with ease.
- SMS functionality is hit and miss. I receive SMS consistently, but cannot consistently reply.
- The click to dial app needs work. This is maybe more of a windows issue, but 8x8 has no "app" for windows. Therefore it cannot be set to a default "tel" per windows.
- It'd be helpful if the mobile app could be more easily closed. This is especially problematic with an iPhone.
- Updates don't seem to be uniformly applied. Meaning in our office, it may take weeks for every app to be updated when a new patch comes out.
- Consistent quality is key, as nearly 100% of our sales interactions are done via phone. Without 8x8, I shudder to think where we'd be.
- The inconsistent SMS replies hurt. Most people who text want a text back, not a call. At least 8x8 tells me when the message fails.
I haven't been a part of too many comparisons, but I have used other VoiP connections in the past. When I started at this company, they were already using 8x8. I was worried, as my past history with internet telephonic communications has been sketchy at best. But 8x8 surprised me with its clarity and consistency.
