The Phone and Communications System for All
Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 Work
We use it as our basic telephone system, fax system and for inner office communications with some messaging with third parties. We still prefer to have a live voice answering the phone but utilize the system to handle calls after hours or if we are unavailable. The app for my phone is also very convenient as I often need to call client while out of the office but do not want them to have my cell phone number. I also like the ability to have an extension at my home so I can work remotely but be connected as if I’m in the office. Finally, and maybe one of the best factors is the fact there is no hub or centralized brain system has used to be required with old phone systems and which some VOIP providers still require.
Pros
- Connectivity whether local or on the go.
- Call management.
- Ease of operation
Cons
- Simplifying the menu system for each user
- System check to determine all features are properly functioning
- Improved push through to mobile devices
- Having billable time by placing calls regardless of where I am without having to give up my mobile number is huge.
- Knowing if I have a voicemail by getting an email of that voicemail regardless of where I’m at allows me to stay on top of things.
- The same as to voicemails applies as to faxes. I get that fax no matter where I’m at as long as I have access to email.
