Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 Work

We use 8x8 to connect with internal staff and contact clients for phone sessions and text communication. As an outpatient treatment program, we provide telehealth counseling and coordination case management services for our clients. We also use video conferencing for internal meetings or supervision when we cannot meet at the same site.

Pros

  • Personalizing profiles and communications for internal messaging.
  • Across platform use (laptop, desktop, phone).
  • Video conferencing.
  • Quick responses from customer service.

Cons

  • Sometimes sound quality is poor, or calls get dropped without understanding why.
  • I appreciate that I can hide client identifying information for when I place calls or text.
It has great features, is generally easy to use, and sets up and tracks functions even for less tech-savvy people. Sometimes, the quality has been mixed, and calls have dropped, but updates and support improvement in this regard.

Video conferencing is helpful when there is reliable internet. I appreciate features to set schedules so messages do or do not come through. I work at two different sites in the same organization, and it helps that I have one number so people can reach me easily wherever I am.
