Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 X Series (Formerly Virtual Office)
As the VoIP Technician for our firm, I develop and design the call flow and scope for our clients that need telephone services. 8x8 has been an incredible fit for several of our clients who do a lot of video conferencing. It was a tremendous benefit that 8x8 was already in place when they were displaced for several weeks by the tornado that hit Nashville in early March 2020, and then the work from home orders that followed shortly afterward. The X Series is truly a unified communication solution. Messaging (both internal and external users), a solid range of softphone apps, and fax capabilities make the product really stand out.

- Universally accessible with iOS, Android, Windows and Mac applications.
- Completely customizable
Cons
- Because it is a global company, getting support can be difficult to navigate.
- For some clients it has been overwhelmingly positive.
- Microsoft Teams and 3CX
I have used Microsoft Teams internally, and 8x8 can do all of these things and includes voice calling. The 3CX integrated app can do all of the things that 8x8 can do, if the account is configured with SMS.
