Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

We use Absorb LMS to host internal and external training courses. Our offerings run from compliance-based courses, manager competency courses, and more. Absorb LMS allows us to track completion, send automatic email updates, and create elearning and instructor led curricula that benefit our employees.

Pros

  • Great customer service support!
  • Hosts our SCORM files
  • Track learner completion

Cons

  • An internal knowledge chatbot on the backend would be great
  • Bulk uploads (which I believe was just introduced recently)
  • Increased compliance
  • More organized tracking capabilities
  • Greater LMS utilization
Even if run into issues here and there, our Absorb LMS rep, [...], is readily available and always willing to help!
  • Content Creation (Absorb Create)
I'm not completely sure what features we are paying for, but the basic content creation has served us well, allowing us to deliver trainings on an enterprise level and make reenrollments and email updates easy and automated.

I think Absorb LMS stacks up well but can't speak to specifics. Basically, it gets the job done. I didn't select Absorb LMS - it was an existing part of our org when I joined.

Yes

It's well suited to hosting your courses, tracking progress, building curricula. It's nice to be able to host different types of media as well (stand alone videos, forms/evaluations, etc). Unless you have an add-on, having participants use the course as discussion-centric area or community of practice is not recommended.
