Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

Absorb LMS is our business to business eLearning solution for external sales of eLearning modules, as well as management of learners piloting training through grants and projects. Pre-existing SCORM content is managed as courses and curriculums and made available for purchase through the fully branded, self-service checkout. The platform is extremely customisable, and very accessible - which was a key factor in determine which platform we would provide our content through.

Pros

  • Thorough training and support throughout the build.
  • User friendly and intuitive for both admins and learners.
  • Customisable look and feel - right down to language used within the site structure.

Cons

  • Greater flexibility with Zoom set up for instructor lead courses
  • Alt text added to all image uploads
  • Improved learner engagement
  • Improved accessibility
  • Empowered admins who can manage more elements than they could in the previous platform
There is room for improvement with anything - and Absorb LMS value this by making their 'submit an idea' function prominent. When selecting platforms, a MoSCoW tool was developed and Absorb LMS easily ticked mre boxes than any of its competitors for features that were necessary for our style of business.

Our previous platform had limited reporting functions and eCommerce was not in place. We now have rapid reporting and less manual administration of learners.
The few times I have already reached out to the support team, I have had a response and a solution on the same day.
Absorb LMS is feature packed with small but smart elements (can have a username that isnt an email, can change the core language used in the platform, can change the font and layout) that offer greater security and accessibility for learners.

My (internal) project build team consisted of three people - one with experience setting up an LMS previously, and two with no experience. I have experienced 'out of the box' builds before and they are rarely intuitive and/or easy to navigate and set up. This was not the case with Absorb LMS. The eLearning modules and face-to-face support provided was thorough and there was a lack of unneccessary complexity to setting up the platform. My novices now know there way around every inch of the platform and love using it.
This was not our first LMS, but it may well be our last. The functionality (from reporting for admins to ease of access for learners) far exceeds our previous experiences and we have a product that looks great, works seemlessly and that we are very proud of.
