Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS
We use it to deliver training to external and internal parties. It solves business problems like executing compliance training to meet SOC2 and other requirements, deploying training to consultants at scale, and providing training for external market actors. We currently provide training for around 550 individual users, although that will likely grow.
Pros
- Customized completion reporting
- Custom LMS templates
- User impersonation
Cons
- Flexibility in updating the code of templates
- Billboard photo logic rules/department availability
- User interface for editing courses page - very confusing for someone without much experience
- Using Absorb has indirectly facilitated our L&D team generating $134,000 approx. in billable client revenue
- Absorb has allowed us to deploy biannual compliance seasons, which protect our company from security and safety issues
- Absorb has allowed us to develop a replicable learning product for external clients
- Content Libraries (Absorb Amplify or 3rd Party Libraries)
The Content Library access (Go1 specifically) has allowed us to source training on topics that it would normally take a long time to create, or that we don't have the subject matter expertise necessary to create. This has been a super invaluable addition, especially in instances like safety training or compliance training.
I have only ever used Moodle in a personal educational setting, so not from an administrator-perspective, but Absorb definitely has a ton of settings and customizability. I know that one reason we decided to go with Absorb is their ability to create custom templates, which has enabled us to go after revenue-generating work.
