Overall Satisfaction with Acquia Digital Experience Platform

Since we launched the new LumApps website this year, we're using the Acquia Digital Experience Platform to manage and improve our website CMS: Drupal. We switched from WordPress to Drupal/Acquia in order to build a stronger CMS, for lead generation, but also on a daily basis use for all the contributors.

Pros

  • Page builder with high flexibility
  • Strong Deployment Workflow
  • All in one CMS

Cons

  • Easier database SQL queries
  • Better updates regarding Transport Layer Security (TLS)
  • Allow redirects by keeping UTM in the URLs
  • Way quicker page creation and update
  • Better engage the website contributors
  • Better personalization and targeting
Since the beginning of the website rebuild project, our agency gathered our needs and expectations. We also shared several technical or SEO specifications, and they have been able to fully adapt the software to our needs, in order to create a custom interface that we can easy use on a daily-basis.
Acquia offers a much better page builder and personalization tool as native features than WordPress. Translation management is also a good feature from Drupal/Acquia, that is not managed well on WordPress.

Acquia Digital Experience Platform is a very strong tool managed by a strong team. It helps to get highly quality features but as it's not open source, there's sometimes a lack of flexibility to implement custom needs. (In a way, that is normal).
