Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign

I am the founder of a software company and needed to find an email marketing tool that enabled me to create advanced automations. I was also looking for a CRM system and in researching both, came across ActiveCampaign, which enabled me to have both in one solution. As a small business, it is just myself running the company at present and therefore the only user of ActiveCampaign. It helps me manage my opportunities, keep track of clients and automate large portions of my email marketing.

Pros

  • Training; the software is HUGE and so is their educational content to make sure you know how to make the most out of it. This includes 1-2-1 training calls, online seminars as well as videos and written articles.
  • Automation; the amount of customisation you can do is incredible.
  • Customer service is absolutely fantastic.

Cons

  • Nothing yet.
  • We are a new company so TBC.
Mailchimp is easy and straightforward to use for those with basic needs, however, once your needs or contact list expands beyond a certain point, it becomes expensive and lacks the more advanced tools you might need.

I switched from Mailchimp to ActiveCampaign as it enabled me to step up my email marketing game as well as provide me with a CRM system that all integrated seamlessly together.
I would recommend ActiveCampaign to large and small businesses who use a lot of email marketing as their automations can save you huge amounts of time, strengthen client relationships and increase sales.

I wouldn't recommend it for sole traders/freelancers as it is expensive compared to other alternatives and they wouldn't require most of the features anyway. A cheaper, simpler option like Mailchimp would suffice.
