Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign

We are using active campaign to automate marketing processes among small businesses in Australia.

Once set up it is being used primarily by the business owner and the sales associates (including the owner in case of small businesses).

Business owners find it difficult to actively engage with their prospective clients and miss out on a lot of revenue. ActiveCampaign fits into this gap and, using marketing automation recipes, it helps with focusing on nurtured clients who are better informed and more suited to buy from the business.

  • Pricing plans are well suited for many small business clients and helps with adoption of marketing automation as a concept
  • Robust software with a huge user base
  • The learning academy content is top class and very effective in upskilling staff
  • Form submission by robots hampers lead quality
  • Layout of agency reseller account platform can be improved
  • Better engagement with list of prospective clients
  • Helps with nurturing clients, so the sales team talks with an informed buyer
  • Helps the business better understand what their prospective client wants and what info are they selling (beyond their product)
While HubSpot is quite the market leader in this respect, ActiveCampaign's pricing plans help with implementation in the small-business sector. The user experience and layout are better than those of HubSpot.

Zoho is quite powerful but has more bugs and support is slow. You would need to be strong at Zoho product knowledge to troubleshoot by yourself to use it effectively.

It is very well suited for businesses of any size (especially small business due to its low introductory pricing) where the business is ready to create processes out of their existing sales process. It is more apt for businesses that genuinely want to create content that their prospective clients would like to know about.

It is not appropriate where the sales team is not interested to make the sales process transparent. It is less apt for businesses that are not sharing only sales information with their clients through this platform. The approach has to be more inbound for this to work effectively.
