ActiveCampaign helps me actively campaign!
Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign
We use ActiveCampaign's email features to send our monthly newsletter, reach out to website users about updates, send purchase confirmations, contact participants in our trainings and classes, and make donation requests.
We also use ActiveCampaign's CRM features to track donations and make sure we're engaging all of the amazing people who help fund our nonprofit.
The automation features are what brought us to AC from the previous online software we used. We're really happy with the results and feel that the additional cost is worth it.

Pros
- Automatically sends emails when triggered by our website
- Send monthly newsletter using easy to setup templates
- Tracks sales in the CRM
Cons
- This is tough, I really like the setup and interface
- There could be more user friendly tutorial videos on how to use the integration features, but these would be code heavy and for a very specific niche of people.
- Client buy in and over professional look and engagement.
- Better contact with our donors and no one gets lost now.
I chose ActiveCampaign over Mailchimp initially because of the bounce ratio. AC's is much lower than MC. I've stayed because of the automation, website integration, and CRM. I feel like the WYSIWYG editors are fairly similar and the price is comparable if you take in to account the additional features that AC provides over the basic email MC provides.
