Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign
We use ActiveCampaign (AC) for email marketing to our database of subscribers. We use their segmenting tools to hyper-target emails based on various preferences and purchase data. We make use of their automation sequences to welcome users to the platform and we're now working towards taking advantage of its tracking features to tag users based on actions on-site, etc.
- Good deliverability
- Good suite of automations - (beautifully designed)
- Customer focused - they have been responsive to our needs.
- Email builder is good but could be improved - particularly for varying images sizes when side by side in a row. I recently found this challenging.
- Email segmenting is also good as is, but could also be improved - e.g. if I want to schedule 3 emails to similar groups at the same time of day and exclude one group, I have to wait for one email to completely send before I can exclude the group. Logic could be applied to exclude those email addresses to allow me to draft and schedule them all at once.
- I can't think of anything else I'd improve. it's generally very good.
- Systematic marketing
- Improved efficiency
- Ability to automate registrations and user amending preferences via API
MC was great but was too expensive and limited in scope for unlimited send caps. AWeber has a good email builder but at that time didn't have webhooks, making it difficult to use to meet our needs. ActiveCampaign solved both of these problems by giving us unlimited sends and providing a robust API to manage our registration process and offer our members a way to update their details in real-time.
