Overall Satisfaction with ActivTrak
We use ActivTrak for performance management and also to create competitiveness between teams and each other to be more productive. The secondary use of this was on the individual level of performance and productivity for those who are remote workers and are currently being evaluated for performance failures. Although this product provides monitoring software, we are using it at a higher level to see where there may be gaps in other software, employee ability to focus, feedback and coaching as well as overall performance within each team and as a company.
Pros
- High overview of employee and team performance.
- Ability to easily identify gaps in workflow or coaching opportunities.
- Provides a sense of accomplishment and a reminder to Self-Care when over-utilized.
Cons
- Rollout through Group Policy could be a little smoother.
- Alarms for when an employee has been inactive for a specified amount of time.
- Alert for computers that no longer are active.
- More streamlined integration with identifying computers and users.
- More specific breakdowns of classifications, ie - the ability to say Facebook for business is Productive, but scrolling feeds and watching videos is unproductive.
- Classifications to more easily auto-classify e-commerce hubs and portals.
- Need additional time to review the data to be able to answer this accurately.
- Team building.
- Insights into team and individual performance.
- Overall increase in productivity and the elimination of waste and distractions.
It has improved productivity with the sense of competitiveness that the teams have developed. It has also helped with the trust factor between employer and employee. Additionally, the personal insights email that we get weekly, really takes a deep dive look into individuals working habits and has to show each of us where we have room to improve objectively.
This has been a great tool to avoid burnout - specifically when we can see who is being over-utilized. It identifies who may need an extra hand with a busy period of work or who is struggling to meet their performance indicators and were there may be an opportunity for additional training or even a quicker way to complete a task.
As mentioned before, the feedback data we receive helps to show us who may be struggling and why. This has helped create a need to relook at work flows and what is a better way of completing tasks and eliminating waste.
