Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica

I am the CFO of a construction company so I use it for all accounting, time tracking and project management purposes. I am involved in daily operations and financial statement preparation and presentation.

Pros

  • Live data tracking
  • generic inquiries
  • project cost and revenue tracking

Cons

  • document management (but it is improving)
  • payroll ease of use in Canada
  • external emails for clients
  • it has saved time and resources for admin work
  • it has greatly improved accuracy of data
I am going to look into it more but I have not yet used AI much. It does look promising for what is to come.
The daily field reports are more concise and provides a lot of information to the clients
It is great for holdback, progress draws and time and material tracking/invoicing. Very few ERPs are good at this but Acumatica is very easy to use for this.
Acumatica is cloud based and much more user friendly. It is easier to view and create inquiries and overall a pleasure to use compared to Sage 300 CRE

It is great for construction companies and project management. If you are a mid-sized company it offers great visibility and access to data as well as ease of use.
