Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
Acrobat is literally the industry standard for communication between designers and clients. Its a multi-use software that can produce universal print files, viewable files for client review, compatible web documents. We use this software DAILY for a myriad of reasons. I don't think most people know all the capabilities. We use it instead of Powerpoint to create more dynamic presentations as well as files that the client can edit themselves when needed. I don't know of many files that are so universally accepted and exchanged across all professions.
- Low Res Presentation files for client review
- Universal documents for web viewing
- Easy print file document set up--accepted by almost all print vendors
- It's not as user friendly in editing capabilities as we would like
- Not user intuitive for the average user, outside designers. We spend a good deal of time explaining things to clients
- Better Files Size capabilities. Sometimes difficult to get a good dpi to bitmapping ratio for web use. Those settings could be better
- Print file Preparation
- Design review/Client presentation
- Universal file recognition
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
Aside from limited competition, we need a seamless workhorse that can make it easy to communicate and exchange files between designers, print vendors, and clients
- Again, operations without it would be quite difficult. Acrobat gives us the ability to present designs to clients digitally as opposed to clunky presentation programs, creating jpegs, paying for presentation interfaces. It's just been a part of our Adobe repertoire for years. Settings/features that allow for approvals, passwords, edit notations...just really invaluable and very ingrained on our work flow.
- I think Acrobat development/improvements may sometimes take a back seat to other Adobe counterparts but things are improving with acrobat.
- Valuable in its ability to support 508 compliance
I guess the fact that I don't really need to think about it is a positive nod to our trust in Adobe security features. It would be naive to think that NO company or software is impenetrable from a hacker who is determined enough, but I've ben doing this over 25 years and have had no security issues.
- Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Illustrator CC, Adobe InDesign, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Microsoft 365, WinZip, Microsoft Windows, Topaz Gigapixel AI, Flip PDF and Ghostscript
It doesn't stack up AGAINST...it compliments. It's a worthy peer and integral extension of all the other software we use.
