Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

Adobe Acrobat is a key tool for our division as we deliver virtual trainings across the company and with external partners. We rely on Acrobat's robust PDF creation process to digitize materials from legacy projects, and to create guides for not only our staff who train but also the participants in the courses. Besides this use case, we utilize Adobe Acrobat as the primary reader for PDF documents across the company, and it helps to have a powerful tool that can have multiple documents open at once and also allow for collaborative note taking and productivity.
  • Creating and editing PDF documents
  • Commenting inside PDFs
  • Viewing multiple documents simultaneously
  • Viewing documents accessibly
  • Signing and filling in forms
  • It would be good if Adobe Acrobat could utilize less system resources. I have had crashes due to memory and CPU load this week
  • Quicker load times from a cold launch
  • Easier collaborative commenting for offline documents - knowing where and who wrote what
  • Ensuring documents don't have issues where text cannot be copied before publishing
  • Viewing PDFs
  • Annotation and commenting in PDFs
  • Signing and filling out PDFs
  • Creating and editing PDFs
  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
We chose Adobe Acrobat due to the ease of use. Nearly everyone was familiar with Adobe Acrobat, and it just works when opened. It is very easy to mark up and comment inside of documents, and this enabled us to easily scale it up and integrate it into the workflow to be our primary reader. The ability to use Adobe Acrobat inside of Chrome is especially helpful for staff always online.
  • Increased accessibility for materials published internally and externally
  • A quicker turnaround for creating virtual friendly instructional material
  • Higher voc scores since forms and documents are now fillable
This focus on security was not a key concern for us in adopting Adobe. However, we are aware of the importance security plays in Adobe products, and the continuous support and updates that are available did play a part in providing a strong case for adopting this software. Adobe Acrobat allows us to worry less about having documents compromised.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

While I would caution that Adobe Acrobat could lead to occasional system issues due to the amount of system resources required on low powered corporate laptops, these are rare. Acrobat is great for viewing PDFs and annotating. It's the perfect platform to create and edit PDFs, and it is easy to use as a team and share comments around as well. It also works well in trainings as we can have some documents open across multiple windows on both screens that are shared and not shared without unecessarily bogging down systems.
