Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC
I usually use Adobe to open all my PDF files, as well as sometimes using the SIGN option if I need to sign documents. I am a user of Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign, all of which offer the possibility to save as PDF files (later opened in Adobe Acrobat DC). It is very convenient to save these files in PDF so they are not editable when you don't want other people to edit your files, but in addition, it offers the possibility to add comments, draw lines or put text in it.
Pros
- To read PDF files
- Saving Word/excel/photoshop/illustrator files as PDF
- Adding comments, drawing lines, shapes, adding additional text
- Signing documents electronically
- Combining various files or pages to create one singular document or project
- Preparing a presentation
Cons
- It would be interesting to have a tool to recognize text on scanned images that have text within
- It would be great to be able to save images from PDFs
- It would be great to be able to crop pages inside the PDF
- Having the possibility to safe from PDF to jpeg/word etc.
- Presentation mode
- Comments and other editing tools
- Signing electronically
- Fast printing (compared to printing from autocad, photoshop etc.)
- Submissions of final projects/ essays etc.
- The best attribute is opening files faster, as well as printing.
- It works really well for presentations and in full screen mode, especially in Zoom.
- Images and texts usually cannot be edited, therefore information is not changed or lost.
- Signing is way faster, especially with electronic signature.
- Images don't loose quality as much as saving in jpeg or png.
- Most of the files can be sent via email, uploaded on whatsapp etc.
- It can create combined project files, adding a lot of documents together for easy and fast access.
In my personal experience, I have not encountered legal issues or data breaches. This is not something I have been dealing with and therefore has not been an issue. However, it is important to note that since files are not editable, it preserves their legitimacy. In addition, electronically signed files cannot be changed, which is very important in the matter.
I have not used similar products. However, at various times I have used for example Google Chrome to open PDF files, but of course, it doesn't offer many of the possibilities of Adobe.
