Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

We use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to view all pdfs we receive via email or downloaded from the web. Since it's a free tool and created by the same Adobe company we trust that it's the best and most compatible product to use to access the pdf files which typically are created by the Adobe Acrobat DC version.
  • Access to viewing contents inside a pdf file
  • Provide thumbnail preview of all pages inside the pdf file
  • View & click on the bookmarks created from the Adobe Acrobat DC program
  • The built-in measuring tool can only either provide a measurement in inch or feet but not provide output in both feet & inch
  • Should provide an option to collect a selection of separate pdf files into a single file for printing purposes even though the reader does not allow you to save it
  • The DC Reader GUI clearly deviated from the original Acrobat Reader product making it a bit difficult to have to relearn to use the product
  • Quickly access and view multipage pdfs
  • Easily print multipage pdfs
  • Great to have a spell checking tool built-in
  • Important to be able to measure distances and areas
  • Since this is a free tool, this saves us lots of revenue so we can budget for other expenses
  • Helps with learning how to use the free Reader product before jumping into the full Acrobat version
  • Saves time in not having to look for other pdf viewers which may be less compatible [with] the PDF platform
Since Acrobat Reader DC comes from the same Adobe company [that] creates the PDFs, this typically is the most compatible product to use to access pdf files. But there are times when the pdfs are created by other products like Bluebeam then there could be compatibility issues with file access. But overall, Acrobat Reader DC is the program of choice when viewing pdf files for us.
