Powerful, easy, and reliable.
Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Audition
Audition is currently used primarily for a podcast production and occasionally accompanies a video project. Audition has given me full control over my audio production while integrating very well into other Premiere and AfterEffect projects as needed. Powerful tools, such as adaptive noise reduction, makes it reasonable for someone not formally educated in audio production to produce great sounding audio.
Pros
- Stability even in longer recordings.
- Intuitive interface.
Cons
- Interfacing with soundboards could be simpler.
- Ability to monitor single track recordings would be great.
- Quick, repeatable results saves time.
- Stable platform avoids corrupt files and wasted time.
Audition's interface is much better than other, free/shareware programs. The ease of use with interfaces and USB mics makes production a breeze. I began using Audition simply because it's included in the Creative Cloud suite, but have continued because of its reliability ad ease of use. The powerful tools like using a "noise print" for noise reduction is another reason I keep using it.
