Overall Satisfaction with Adobe PhotoShop
Adobe Photoshop is one of the most versatile tool out there. If you know how, you can do a lot with it. It is a easy to learn, hard to master kind of tool. But once you do master it, the possibilities are endless. You can do graphic designs, typography, photo editing & retouching, animations, layouting etc.
Pros
- Image editing and retouching
- Illustrations and digital painting
- Brush Customizations
- Allows unlimited layers
- Integration with other Adobe Softwares
Cons
- Works only on Pixels and not on vectors.
- It has a very high learning curve and is not beginner friendly.
- Starts lagging as the file size gets bigger and more layers are added.
- Works on a subscription model which is also priced quite high.
- Photo editing and retouching
- Ability to make Illustration and Digital art
- Layering and masking
- Though the subscription model is quite expensive, it is still negligible considering the amount of production that goes on a day to day basis.
- Due to its feature rich abilities, workload is reduced.
- If taken with the creative cloud bundle, the software costs are much cheaper.
GIMP is one of the free alternatives for Photoshop. Although it has got many features that photoshop offers, it still has a lot of catching up to do. Also GIMP's UI is quite clunky and not as polished as Photoshop's UI making it a bit harder to navigate. Canva on the other hand is very beginner friendly. It's mostly used by people who find it hard to make banners and posters on Photoshop. But the lack of other features that Photoshop offers makes it far more superior.
