Overall Satisfaction with ADP SmartCompliance
Tax profile set up is pretty easy. Profile/rate updates and notifications of changes are relatively timely. Review reports for quarter close are pretty good. Downloading and saving quarterly reports take up to 6 weeks to pull. Uploading garnishments is really simple and it populates most of the data so little or no addition info is needed. Reviewing wage and tax invoices has it's own area, filters are handy
Pros
- When setting up a jurisdiction, the system forces you to enter the account number with the specific format so you are not incorrectly putting in the wrong number which will force rejections
- I like the ability to filter a number of areas within Tax to drill in
- The quarter end exception area is relatively easy to fix/understand
Cons
- The amount of time before the system knocks you out
- Quarterly tax filings - need to have the actual forms that are filed as opposed to only showing the monthly "voucher" with payments
- Garnishments - allow client to add updates/notes during the "review" process and not lock you out. Notes should be accessible for both client and ADP
- Upload additional documentation regarding a garnishment/order to link the data together. i.e. select an existing garnishment, click on add additional document (can have "action needed" or information only section
- ADP rep can easily provide documents you need thru Smart Compliance
- Sometimes adds more time to my work
- Difficult to understand the various area/systems i.e. Smart Compliance vs The Bridge vs the annual W-2 processing area.

Less manual entry
yes, the Eyes on Washington are great. I like getting the email so I don't have to remember to go into Ambassador to find them. Receiving quarterly reminders/notes are helpful as well. The activities help to provide easy ways to educate you on new things even if they don't pertain to payroll itself you can get an overview of what's happening.
I am only dealing with payroll wage, garnishment and tax modules so I don't know much about the other areas
Have not used any others, so can not provide feedback; pros and cons on this
