Overall Satisfaction with AdWords

We use Google Adwords prolifically for both ourselves as well as many of our clients. We have achieved amazing return on investment, for both B2B as well as B2C clients, and even within highly competitive industries. It is used primarily for marketing. The main business problem it addresses is effective lead generation. However, it also greatly aids ecommerce sales as well as brand recognition.
  • Ease of use
  • Highly-definable target audiences
  • Slick interface
  • Easily definable ROI
  • Easy to waste money if negative lists aren't robust
  • Broad matching can draw in a lot of traffic with little intent
  • Competition can create high CPCs
  • Very fast lead conversion
  • Website verbiage tailored to search data
  • Marketing strategy geared to profitable 'searchers'
Bing Ads can provide a very similar ROI, but on much, much smaller scale. While the targeting and conversion rates can be great, their market share is so small that it's sometimes not even worth the time to build and manage a campaign there. No other search marketing platforms compare.
Many of our clients have built their marketing strategies around effective SEO and the use of the Adwords platform. We derive immense value from almost every penny we spend in Adwords, and as well, it provides us with a fantastic testing ground for any new ads we are trying to test.
Adwords is extremely well-suited for any local business that needs to drive leads, and is able to define who their ideal customer is. National businesses can benefit as well in the same manner.

We generally don't recommend Adwords for businesses in which a personal recommendation or in-person interaction is critical. Examples of these would be a life coach, real estate agent or a wealth management advisor.
