Overall Satisfaction with Ahrefs

Our fulfillment and SEO project managers use Ahrefs more than the rest of the team, but as a digital marketing agency, every department (admin, leadership, sales, account managers) need SEO support or to do keyword research from time to time. We also own a website so our writers will use it periodically to ensure they're including the right keywords in the content they're creating.
  • Keyword research
  • competitive analysis
  • SERP history
  • There's so much you can use it for! I know that I'm personally barely scratching the surface of its capabilities
  • Would love to see some integrated help guides
  • PPC features could be more robust
  • When we can create really great content for our site that ranks well and quickly, we can more effectively monetize that content with affiliate links.
  • Boosting our clients' overall rankings also has a positive impact on revenue since the lifetime value for a client with a high performing campaign is better than one that is lackluster
  • We can analyze competitors (of ours and our clients) and hopefully outmaneuver them digitally
With the digital initiatives we have currently underway, both are really valuable so we keep them both. The digital ecosystem changes so rapidly that only relying on one SEO tool is, in my opinion, not a great idea, as each has its own strengths and weaknesses. And the cost is not so high that it's necessary to choose one or the other unless you're really struggling, in which case you probably need to allocate more budget to your digital efforts anyway.

Do you think Ahrefs delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Ahrefs's feature set?

Yes

Did Ahrefs live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Ahrefs go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Ahrefs again?

Yes

There are a number of great SEO tools out there, including Semrush and Ahrefs, but I think personally i'd give the edge to Ahrefs. It is a fantastic tool for identifying high volume, low competition keywords and crafting an article structure that will ideally perform well in the Google algorithm's eyes, and ideally move up the rankings quickly.
