Airtable is used in my research team as our database solution for chemical and biological reagents, experiments, strains, and project management.
- Collaborative online database. Way better than a simple online spreadsheet.
- Nice graphics and visualisation options. The novel block plugins seem very promising.
- It can also be linked to Slack to ensure that everyone knows when the tables are updated.
- It does not work offline, which makes it a bit difficult to use when traveling.
- Better ressource management leads to better spending and monitoring of present resources.
