Overall Satisfaction with Apollo.io

We use it for two primary functions.

1. Outreach (identifying and contacting our ideal customer prospects).
2. Deal management / tracking

Pros

  • They provide rich information on companies
  • They allow us to target key contacts within those companies
  • Easy to save profiles and have Apollo.io bubble those up to us.

Cons

  • I'd like more reporting features. I have to export a lot into Excel to view the data the way I need to.
  • It's difficult to track conversation with contacts with respect to deals. I'd like to open a deal and see all communications with contacts
  • Increase visibility into what's working and what's not
  • One simple place to store communication and deals
Dramatically increased the speed to identify ideal customers, get their contact information and create meaningful outreach to them.
What would normally take hours, Apollo.io does it in a few minutes.
It has an intuitive and a simple interface.
I found Apollo.io gave us the biggest bang for our buck. Also, I've used it before and knew it was going to work, so there wasn't really a whole lot of competition in my mind.

Its fantastic for prospecting and contact information gathering. It has a simple and intuitive interface with lots of functionality.

I think its less appropriate for a true CRM. Some of the reporting is not as robust as I'd like. It is geared more for outreach analytics (calls, emails, etc...), but not ideal for managing and reporting on pipeline and deal stage.
