Overall Satisfaction with Apollo.io

I use Apollo for lead generation & outbound prospecting - it is managed & used by the sales team. It links with my CRM (Salesforce) to automatically log emails, I can sequence campaigns via email (to target specific groups, etc.), and I can also call prospects through the dialer. It addresses & solves the automated outbound prospecting & lead gen part of our business - alongside events, etc.

Pros

  • Sequencing automated email campaigns for outbound prospecting (BD Function).
  • Integrating with Sales NAVIGATOR to help me find emails/phone #' numbers/"add to sequence" while prospecting. It's easy and seamless to find & then load contacts into Cadences.
  • Integration with Salesforce is a huge plus. Allows me to not worry about logging anything, but the executive team can see my activity & what is going on (emails going out, responses I get, etc.).
  • The analytics on the outreach data is always helpful as well (open rates, click rates, etc.).

Cons

  • It could be improved by making sequences & the platform more seamless/appealing in terms of UX/UI; otherwise, it functions fine.
  • Always will push for better prospect data (emails/phone #'s).
  • It could be interesting to see Apollo push into company data as well (the same way some competitors do).
  • Increased # of booked meetings from outbound email outreach.
  • Our sales team's productivity has improved when prospecting/doing outreach (which has a monetary value, given our salaried status). This makes us more productive, enabling us to accomplish more and reach a greater number of people in a day.
  • We've only recently implemented this, so we're still waiting to close, but leads are on their way to doing so.
It is very helpful! I actually found Apollo, and chose it, because I didn't want to have to pay for two different softwares (1 with b2b contact info, and the other for a sales outreach platform - email sequencing, etc.). Apollo solved both challenges. They provide b2b contact info that is good enough to reach prospects & start convos, but they also have the platform to actually run automated email cadences, etc. - I am a big fan. Has been very helpful! Also, it helps keep costs down.
Has saved time on prospecting & then sending emails to lists of people. When I joined the company, there was no formal process, so I implemented this. Saves us time on prospecting & on the actual outreach. It's a tangible difference; I now have more time to attend events, client meetings & close deals, all while Apollo runs in the background, setting meetings.
It's solid! I think there is room for improvement, but I have been able to figure it out and get mostly full functionality from it. I am satisfied! Could improve in terms of UX/UI a bit.
Apollo was a combination of Salesloft (outreach software) and ZoomInfo (B2B contact information). Apollo ended up being the perfect solution, and well-priced for the value!

For any sales team needing to find emails/phone numbers for leads, then create automated email cadences (with emails/phone calls). Additionally, it could be beneficial for prospecting, marketing teams handling event follow-up, and other related activities. It is a dynamic tool, but it is focused on sales-based activities, such as finding & connecting with prospects.
