Overall Satisfaction with Appian

Appian is being leveraged by a few businesses within Citi. Appian is used to address all kinds of business problems in the businesses it is used. I have used this to replace old, out-of-date applications while also being used to support a new process that never had any structure to it at all.
  • Customizability of Interfaces
  • Flexibility of workflows
  • Great training resources
  • Fun to code
  • Better process modeling development UI
  • Better licensing options
  • Better breakdown of variables in process modeling
  • Expensive Licensing
  • No option for a limited user
  • Able to save users time with new application
I would not be able to provide an accurate rating on this portion as I am not a person within the Organization that works with support. Other people within my organization are the ones that would be interacting with Appian support. Therefore I will have to pass on this question.
I gave Appian this rating because it is great for a wide variety of options. One thing I was taught, is that Appian does not assume anything. With that mindset, the possibilities with Appian are almost endless. The part that weighs Appian down is the expensive cost of licenses for users.
Appian surpasses Microsoft PowerApps because of how much easier it is to code. I found Appian easier to code than the competitor because of how you could access the code behind the scene (SAIL). This allowed for even greater customization and helps with debugging when you have an error. I also love the look and feel you can create with Appian.

Do you think Appian delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Appian's feature set?

Yes

Did Appian live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Appian go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Appian again?

Yes

The thing Appian does the best is managing records in a certain way. This could be something like account management, cash management, etc. The area where I would not suggest Appian would be when there is a complicated transformation of data needed with limited user interaction needed.
