Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

We are creating and delivering training content to clients and employees.

Pros

  • Workflow management.
  • Course creation options.
  • Template management.
  • Testing

Cons

  • Line spacing is often problematic.
  • PowerPoint ingestion could be improved.
  • More flexibility in template creation.
  • ROI is difficult to measure, but Articulate has helped us deliver training to clients at minimal expense, representing significant cost savings.
  • We needed to develop an effective online training platform to compete in our market. Articulate has greatly supported that need.
  • We have been able to provide documentation training to more than 10,000 EMS professionals at virtually no cost.
If you are a PowerPoint wizard, you will have a distinct advantage when working with the storyline application. Part of the reason why I chose to work with this application was the PowerPoint integration. I've found a learning curve for most of the apps in Articulate, but I've gotten comfortable after a year or two.
Webanywhere's UI is dreadful, and customer support is inconsistent. I worked for a year to build a training site and eventually abandoned the application. Lexipol provides a dedicated training platform for public safety professionals, with a wide variety of courses to incorporate into your own instance of the platform. Unfortunately, we found this application to be too expensive for my company.

Do you think Articulate 360 delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Articulate 360's feature set?

Yes

Did Articulate 360 live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Articulate 360 go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Articulate 360 again?

Yes

I particularly like how the web apps allow you to create and share content with reviewers and collaborators, collect feedback, and communicate with stakeholders directly. However, I wish it was easier to develop and apply brand-specific templates without recreating them every time.

Using Articulate 360

1 - I use Articulate to create and deliver training to clients, train hundreds of internal users in our company, and provide compliance training to external and two internal users. We are in a healthcare-related business, so compliance training is mandatory for all users of our systems.
1 - It's important to maintain a good relationship with our account manager and the client support team on the Articulate side, and it's also useful to navigate the user forms and the documentation that Articulate has provided online to support problem-solving.
  • course creation
  • testing
  • compliance
  • none that come to mind
  • we have used the application only for course creation
  • We may be able to train more creators to deliver content
  • We may use articulate to deliver content directly rather than posting to an LMS
I haven't seen any other platform for developing learning materials that is as comprehensive or as reliable as Articulate has proven to be for our use. Because our group has a number of PowerPoint power users, the PowerPoint integration with Articulate is particularly beneficial.

Evaluating Articulate 360 and Competitors

  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
Articulate provides a wider and more comprehensive range of options for developing learning materials than any other application or group of applications considered for this purpose.
Now that I have spent nearly five years using the Articulate platforms and services, I really cannot imagine changing to another development platform. However, if we were to make a change, the competition would have to provide a range of services and pathways to successful learning material development comparable to what Articulate provides.

Articulate 360 Implementation

I can't say that implementation was required. This software package is downloaded and used much like any other software package. Cloud integrations are standard these days, and Articulate's integration with its cloud service is smooth.
Change management was a major issue with the implementation

Articulate 360 Support

I have always found it challenging to find answers or solutions to problems using the user forums or the support portal for Articulate. While many valuable resources exist in both areas, the navigation and search tools could be improved.
ProsCons
Knowledgeable team
Kept well informed
Support understands my problem
Difficult to get immediate help
I'm the sole user of the Articulate platform and services in my organization, and I've been able to get the support I need through the user forms and the customer support portal. Even though I find both a bit clunky, premium support has not been required.
Yes - Multiple users have reported an issue with line spacing in certain applications, and the ticket has been open for years. I cannot understand why Articulate's developers have been unable to resolve this or provide a satisfactory solution to those of us who have encountered this problem and reported it.
In all instances where I have had to reach out for support, responses have been timely but not always completely satisfactory. Occasionally, multiple requests have been made to understand a problem and resolve it. I cannot say that any service request has been handled in a way that I would describe as exceptional.
