Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

I am a learning consultant so I use Articulate 360 with various clients depending on the need. For example, I've used Rise for certification training in the insurance industry and Storyline for mobile training in the healthcare industry. Depending on my client's needs I evaluate the optimal tool needed for training. I appreciate Rise because it allows quick templated development but my clients have benefited from the various outputs from Storyline, Demo, Try It, Test it.

Pros

Cons

  • Rise has limitations for audio integration throughout
  • Limited functionality for Accessibility
  • Storyline, PPT integration- sometime not as clean and editable
  • Rise- need a way to optimize the undo function. Maybe a history like WORD
  • Storyline on Mac without parallels
  • No video and image library for Rise
  • Reduced the development to learning time ratio
  • Enabled deployment of increased volume
I personally have most experience using Rise. When I first tried the tool I learned and pretty much mastered it within a day or too. This enabled speed and ease of development which is critical for my small business. I am a fan of the review feature which I have used with ALL of my clients which has proven to be valuable. I appreciate the different review instances which is helpful for various kinds of review.
Speaking to Rise, extremely fast learning curve, beautiful templates and anyone can use the tool. For example, my 16 year old son was able to develop quick 30 min courses with in a week. First time user. He used ALL features except the blocks and was able to integrate video and audio. Very easy to learn and apply. No training was needed.

As mentioned, I've used Rise for certification training in the insurance industry and Storyline for mobile training in the healthcare industry. This was unique because I was able to replicate the client's mobile app using Storyline and training was also deployed on the app to mimic the system. I appreciate the rapid development option, for example, I was able to develop (3) 30-60 min courses within 1 month including video and audio.
