Helps Us to Scale but Still Room to Improve!
Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360
We use Articulate 360 primarily to author eLearning courses, which helps to scale our team's reach in training a global user base on our proprietary software. Since we have a global user base, we also need to localize courses in several different languages. (For this reason, I am very excited to the see the localization improvements that are coming to Articulate.)
We do not use Reach as an LMS but instead use Docebo.

Pros
- Creating a unified theme and template for brand consistency
- Creates a more interactive learning experience than just reading a long help article.
- User-friendly UI - does not take long to get up to speed when building courses
Cons
- Not supporting the management and creation of multi-lingual SCORMs (this is coming)
- Localization process in general is incredibly difficult to manage (again, improvements are coming)
- I sometimes find the ability to change certain visual characteristic with the blocks to be overly constrained or overly simplified.
- More accessible course creation to non-English speakers
- More time for our time who are no longer relying on ILTs
- Better standardization and centralization of messaging -- how we talk about our software products and how we position them within the courses
I use Rise and 360 for feedback on courses built in Rise. I also use StoryLine but only for wanting to build really specific simulations for educating users on the the most important workflows in our software.
We were asked by our legal department to turn off the AI Assisted feature from Articulate out of an abundance of caution. I very much would like those features at my disposal, however, I understand my company's general concerns about our data and how it is being used, stored, etc.
We do not currently distribute through reach but instead have an enterprise agreement with Docebo.
I would likely use StoryLine more but the fact that is not support on Mac platforms is maddening for me. I need to instead log into a virtual machine that runs windows and it is such a painful experience. I may just need to get a PC machine because the virtual machine workflow is not ideal. It would be great if Articulate customers were not put in such a position to choose the lesser of two evils because of lack of platform/OS flexibility.

I have had no personal experience as of yet. As previously noted, our legal team asked that AI being turned off for our company account.
Captivate seemed more complex but also offered more flexibility. Because our team was less technically inclined, we ultimately moved forward with Articulate (as well as the fact that it is well-renowned as industry standard authoring tool).
