Overall Satisfaction with Asana

[Asana] is being used specifically for Project Management, Task Management and Vendor Management. It is used across the entire organization in different segments. It addresses the scheduling, tracking and management of activities for major projects. In terms of vendor management and repetitive tasks it is used as a reminder for expiration of licenses, renewals and other relevant tasks that cannot be allowed to fall through the cracks.
  • Task Management - Being able to assign resources and time lines to specific activities
  • Project Management - Being able to plan, execute and track project process using this tool
  • Customizability - Being able to customize a solution that meets your needs or activity.
  • Better integration with Office 365
  • It would be useful for it to be able to export project data right into Microsoft Project as that tool is more complex and some project manager do prefer it. Therefore, it would be good to have the option.
  • An official training program to put new and even exiting users that is relative short and straight to the point would be helpful to maximize utility and get more person onboard.
  • Calendar - The ability to see what is outstanding, pending and completed
  • Ability to customize the solution to fit your needs
  • Ease of use - There is not a steep learning curve to get started, but to maximize utility you do need to do some research and explore its capabilities.
  • Reminders - ability to remind resources assigned about activities pending that need attention or notices of upcoming activities.
  • it has allowed project teams to function better as everyone is aware of what is going on throughout the project
  • It is easy to track activities and accommodate and communicate changes which facilitates the ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Accountability - It eliminates the issue of persons not knowing what activities they are responsible for during the planning of a project or assignment of resources to activities.
Asana had more useful features, is a more mature product and a better interface than Microsoft Planner while Microsoft Project was harder for the average person to learn and hit the ground running due to it complexity making Asana that nice middle ground for most persons to use, learn and be productive.
