Overall Satisfaction with Asana

Asana is used by almost the whole organization and is a great organizational tool for departments to use with their teams! I love Asana as it helps me figure out what I need to do that day, what I could push out, and who I needed to follow up with based on due dates, task name, and importance.

You can assign tasks to other members of your team which is a great help when we are all working from home right now. You can set due dates and combine multiple tasks into one overarching task to stay organized with different projects. This also helps give visibility to higher ups and exec teams on which departments are performing which tasks.
  • Assigning tasks - this is a great feature so each member of the team knows which tasks in a project are for them to do.
  • Chat function - the ability to tag other team members in your task is great when you need someone from another department to quickly jump in and review a question you may have, by seeing the previous conversation and attachments.
  • Due dates - assigning due dates helps create expectations for tasks to be finished and I especially like that the assignee can also move their dates around incase things get too busy.
  • Asana could improve with a better UI so I can organize my daily tasks in order of importance, as they will all say "Due today" instead of allowing me to order them myself in what are the most important tasks to finish in the day.
  • I'd like to be able to see every and any task I've completed in each month of the year incase I need to go back to check some notes within the task.
  • It would be cool if Asana could cross-function with Outlook to mark VIP dates in our team calendars.
  • Due dates.
  • Assignee/Assigner functionalities.
  • Task completion.
  • Asana helps improve productivity in the workspace by ensuring all team members know what projects/tasks they need to get done and by when.
  • Asana helps team members stay focused on what needs to get done and allows cross collaboration between departments which greatly increases overall company productivity by not having to wait around for email responses.
  • Asana is a good tool for project management and is easy to use, making it accessible for the whole company to use.

Would you buy Asana again?

Yes

Asana is amazing to use for teams to keep track of weekly check-ins, ongoing projects, and quick asks between teams (such as marketing team to IT team, sales team to logistics team, etc.). It is helpful in project managing ongoing projects and keeping notes of information for multiple people to see or to create reminders for yourself to finish certain tasks.

It's not as helpful when brainstorming, I recommend getting on an actual call, but brainstorming could still get done with Asana as you can add multiple collaborators to one task and have many comments chime in. Asana is a great tool to stay organized, on task, and on time with projects.
