Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Automox to patch windows OS on laptops and desktop throughout the company. In healthcare we need to patch laptops from the latest exploits. We are currently on pushing it to the desktop and works will with the desktop. it is easy to push to devices and easy to manage with policies

easier to see if someone was actually using the laptop. tell us the laptop and/or PC will show the time that the laptop and/or PC checked in and tell us who the last person to use it, as well the IP addresses and either if connected to LAN and/or wifi

Usability

cause its a great tool to have to patch laptops and/or PCs that do not have the latest patches. the dashboard reports are a good place to see what devices are not in compliance and needs patches and shows the current software updates and version for all 3rd party software

it is easier to use and manage. I like that i can patch a laptop at anytime without anyone knowing. 3rd party software is mostly commonly needs to be upgrade in our company and sometimes they need to be updated right away due to 0-day exploits. we also have policies in place that are taken place during off hours

its works well for us since we have the patch, we also use it as inventory control as well. it is also get to use for what is already installed on the laptop and PC. With policies, it is easy for the devices to get updated during off hours and easy to patch any device at will and at anytime

299 - the devices currently in automox are receiving updates everyday since some users do not keep their laptops on so they would be patched the next day. its easy since you can patch a single laptop or multiple laptops all at one time. the patches only get installed as long the application is not in use

1 - i am the only one who currently supports the application. it is very
easy for anyone in an IT department to use. it is just a couple of
clicks and certain amount of policies pointing at OS updates, 3rd party
applications, etc to update and whatever time you want it to begin.
